  3. Hello! I know this question has been asked a thousand times in different variations, but I didn't find a thread that matched what I wanted. What I look for: A fast laptop that will hold up and not break after a few years with a good battery that will last for 8 or so hours. I will use it for school (word, chrome etc.) and other work but NOT for gaming. HDMI and a headphone are a huge plus. The amount of RAM is not so important, nor the storage since I don't need so much storage. All I basically want is a laptop that is fast to use, launch programs and good at multitasking. I have looked at the HP Spectre x360, Dell Inspiron 15 7000, Dell XPS 13 (but it's a bit pricy) and the 2017 MacBook air model. I prefer Windows but a switch to a mac is possible if it gives some benefit (my friends MacBook air have lasted for a long time and shows no signs of ware). What you guys recommend? Or should I wait and see what will be launched with the new generation AMD processors?
  4. Hello! I decided to mod an old powermac case, where the powerbutton and LED worked. It all went well until I tried to turn my system on. I bought a cable from http://g5atxcables.weebly.com/ and installed it on the front IO board. I know its connected since the USB port is working. I installed the jumperwires according to the instructions so that the hot and ground wire are connected to the powerbutton. I have connected the wires to the right pins on the motherboard. The LED for power are not lightning up when the cabels are reconnected. Is it possible that I have broken the front IO board when I modded the case? Does anyone here have experience with moding powermac that know what might be wrong or point me to where I could look for more info?
  5. I have a seagate barracuda 4TB hard drive and widows detects it and I have added and allocated it in disk management but I can only use half of the capacity (2TB) and the other part isnt allocated (1678 gb to be precise and 500 gb is reserved by widows) when i try to allocate the unallocated (1678gb) storage I need to delete (format) the storage that's allocated too be able to allocate the 1678gb and vice versa. I apologise if there were bad English or grammar mistakes, English isnt my native language
