  1. My current build is an old one, got a i7 975 extreme, and god knows what of a mobo, and DDR3 RAM
  2. I'm planning to make a new gaming PC, and I've currently put together this build in PCPartPicker. PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU Intel Core i7-8700K 3.7 GHz 6-Core Processor $363.88 @ Amazon CPU Cooler Corsair H100i RGB PLATINUM 75 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler $124.99 @ Amazon Motherboard MSI Z390-A PRO ATX LGA1151 Motherboard $125.99 @ Amazon Memory Corsair Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3600 Memory $74.98 @ Amazon Storage Samsung 970 Evo 500 GB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive $89.99 @ Amazon Case Phanteks ECLIPSE P350X ATX Mid Tower Case $67.99 @ Newegg Power Supply EVGA SuperNOVA G3 550 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply $81.98 @ Newegg Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total (before mail-in rebates) $949.80 Mail-in rebates -$20.00 Total $929.80 Generated by PCPartPicker 2019-11-08 01:15 EST-0500 My budget for the build is around 1000$ and I already have a graphics card (GTX 1050ti) I'm looking for any changes regarding maybe the cooler, and anything else that may catch your attention
  3. So if I were to change my RAM, as well as the PSU, what would you suggest for the changes?
  4. Huh, so would the new Ryzen 3000 need a newer mobo or can I still use the B450 or is it still unspecified?
  5. Yeah I plan to use the SSD as the boot drive And the Ryzen 3000 is releasing sometime in June right?
  6. So my budget for a new build is around 700$ (would like to go a bit lower if possible) and the games that I normally play are just CS:GO, Overwatch, GTA V, and sometimes Hunt:Showdown (very unknown game imo). My question is 1. Will this be able to support 144hz gaming (specifically in CS) 2. Will there be any small changes that can lower the price of the build 3. Is this build good enough to even play Apex (I haven't played it yet) The Build: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/h0ly/saved/4yP299 P.S. I already have a GPU, a MSI GTX 1050ti
  7. Ok, so I went on ahead to make a build on PC Part Picker, wondering if this is good enough for gaming (play CS:GO, TF2, OW, and sometimes Arma 3 or GTA V) P.S: I will be using the same 1050ti for this build PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant Type Item Price CPU AMD - Ryzen 5 2600 3.4 GHz 6-Core Processor $164.99 @ Amazon Motherboard Asus - ROG STRIX B450-F GAMING ATX AM4 Motherboard $129.00 @ B&H Memory G.Skill - Trident Z RGB 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3200 Memory $129.99 @ Newegg Storage Western Digital - Blue 500 GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive $67.89 @ OutletPC Storage Seagate - Barracuda 2 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive $59.89 @ OutletPC Case Phanteks - ECLIPSE P400 TEMPERED GLASS ATX Mid Tower Case $69.99 @ Newegg Power Supply EVGA - SuperNOVA G3 550 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply $87.98 @ OutletPC Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total (before mail-in rebates) $739.73 Mail-in rebates -$30.00 Total $709.73 Generated by PCPartPicker 2019-03-13 18:51 EDT-0400
  8. So I have a Dell Studio XPS that I kinda want to make a bit better The PC has this: -Intel i7 975 Extreme -10gb of DDR3 RAM -GTX 1050ti -Stock Intel cooler -3.5(ish) tb of storage -idk what my PSU is My GPU works completely fine with this, but my biggest problem is the RAM and the storage, as they are both about 5-7 years old, so my plan is to buy new DDR3 RAM and new hard drives Thinking of this hard drive:https://www.amazon.com/dp/B013QFRS2S/ref=twister_B07M8JQ5S5?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 And this RAM: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DHA44MK/ref=psdc_172500_t2_B007GWMR6U Any ideas as to what I should do would be greatly appreciated :)) Edit: If I were to build new, my budget would be around 700$, while an upgrade would only be about 200$(ish) as I my current build is for just gaming, and I just want to fix my PC the best way I could.
  9. So I am planning to upgrade my PC since my current one is being somewhat annoying. I used PC Part Picker to create the build and I want to know if this build is optimal for gaming - The build is missing a GPU mainly cause I already have one (MSI GTX 1050ti) The build: PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant Type Item Price CPU Intel - Core i5-8600K 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor $241.98 @ Newegg CPU Cooler ARCTIC - Freezer 33 eSports ONE (Black/Red) CPU Cooler $31.98 @ Newegg Motherboard Asus - ROG Strix Z370-H Gaming ATX LGA1151 Motherboard $159.08 @ Amazon Memory Corsair - Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-2400 Memory $104.99 @ Amazon Storage Kingston - A400 240 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive $39.49 @ Amazon Storage Seagate - Barracuda 2 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive $58.89 @ OutletPC Case Corsair - Carbide SPEC-04 (Black/Red) ATX Mid Tower Case $39.99 @ Newegg Power Supply EVGA - SuperNOVA G3 550 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply $70.12 @ B&H Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total (before mail-in rebates) $766.52 Mail-in rebates -$20.00 Total $746.52 Generated by PCPartPicker 2018-11-22 18:33 EST-0500 Let me know of anything that I can change (my budget is about 750ish).
  10. I tried to boot up without the RAM sticks, and there was no response. So the best thing for me to do right now seems to be calling MSI or trying the CMOS
  11. My brother has a new system that has these specs: MSI B350 Gaming Plus Ryzen 3 2200 G 8Gs Corsair Vengeance DDR4 RAM No GPU He has been having a lot of problems with boot up as the computer will turn on, but the monitor will give a no signal. He had this problem earlier on, but it turned out to be the motherboard since the motherboard had the wrong BIOS to support the APU. So he sent it to MSI to get a BIOS update, and then built his system with no issues. Now the computer won't boot and I don't know what exactly is causing it. My two guesses are the motherboard OR the RAM. I'd gladly appreciate any help I can get, thank you!! ^v^
  12. The fan does function, just maybe the 7 year old thermal paste
  13. Yes I have the stock cooler installed, so the best thing to do is to replace the current thermal paste?
  14. I am using a Intel Core i7 975 extreme @3.33Hz Whenever I start gaming competitively at games like CS:GO, the CPU will jump from about 50 degrees to about 70 degrees. Then it will jump to low 80's and soon hit 90 and shut down My two ideas to fix this is to reapply new thermal paste or replacing my fans, but my fans seem to be good.
  15. I have a i7 975 extreme edition and when running any games it will be running within the temperatures of 80-84 degrees, which is bad, but how can I fix it?? Also, I am using a Dell Studio XPS 435t/9000
  16. So would it be completely fine for me to go on with such and upgrade??
  17. I have a Dell Studio XPS 435t/9000. I am wondering if the mother board can support a 1050ti. I'm pretty sure the PSU in it is a 300W.
  18. Would this be a good idea, I plan to take out my GPU and run a game and see if the GPU is what is causing the crashes. But would that be ok and afterwards do I have to reinstall drivers after putting the GPU back?
  19. Ok, I used NZXT CAM to check my spec temps during gaming, and what I'm seeing is that the GPU fan doesn't even spin. Also these temps are from when I'm streaming a video from YouTube.
  20. The GPU would jump to about 87C and the CPU jumps to about 76
  21. If I were gaming, I have to do it quickly since I know that my computer will restart very soon.
  22. Basically any game I play does this, and it basically plays for about 3 minutes or so and then the screen turns black and my whole PC restarts.
  23. So there is no problem with the PSU? Also what is the best way for me to dust out my computer
  24. So would it be fine if I choose to upgrade my GPU? Or should I first check if the fan of my GPU will spin and if there is a build up of dust on it?
  25. I took a photo of the some components when I'm just using the PC to search up things online
