  1. And I am not saying you will get infected if you download a torrent you know but I am saying if you download Game of throne episode, open the file and end up clicking next next next and seeing some new windows appearing every where, you just in fact executed a .exe file that was containing a script and installed ton shit of crap. Now time to learn how to format and clean install W10
  2. Windows 10 has defender by default ON. It's not necessary to download Avast for example... It's all about the person behind the computer... You mostly will NEVER infect yourself as long as you don't : - Download torrents - Open .exe weird files by mistake - Click on "next" x10 times when installing programs without even looking what addon programs you are agreeing to install as well - Click on all ads you see in internet etc... - Others.... Okay so if you think you will make such mistakes you should educate yourself instead, the best anti virus that exist is the user himself. Anti virus programs just build databases and then when you open files it compares with their database and if it's labelled as a virus it blocks the file... If you go for a PAID anti virus, you get more managing options, and the database is updated more quickly, thats mostly the main advantage...
  3. If I had to install from scratch windows I would choose Win10 even for old hardware unless you have less than like 1-2GB RAM I think Win10 minimum ram requirement is 1GB
  4. - Don't even worry about DX12 - Win10 manages RAM and ressources better than Win 7 but most likely is not worth at all the trouble to upgrade - If everyuthing runs good on Win 7, stay on Win7
  5. You can just google the laptop model and then go to the official website, support section, drivers section, look for a PDF manual file They all have that, also you can just boot to windows and then do a cmd command to get the motherboard model and then google that motherboard model to get to the official website and download the manual or just look at the specifications etc... if you need the cmd command it is : wmic baseboard get product,Manufacturer
  6. NVMe, You should first of all just get the manual book of your motherboard and look for this connector for the exact name and google it and there you go ! You just learned how to fix issues by yourself ! Now you know the official part name and compatibility compare with the part you are buying. Cheers
  7. 16 GB is totally fine 32 GB is overkill go with 32 gb if you dont care about wasting a bit of money
  8. Zero issues. It was 450$ CAD during black friday. Me and 2 other friend bought one. Been over 8 months now and we all doing good. 1440p 144hz gsync 27" monitors goes for around 800$ in Canada, and the Dell one is 750$, so when I saw it a 450, I bought it. It's a great screen I did adjust the color settings a little bit as the stock colors in my opinion needs a little adjustment but my friends kept it stock, its great screen for those like me who doesnt want to pay 700+$
  9. Unstable overclock. You found it yourself : set to stock it works fine.
  10. I have the dell s2716dg and i love it. It's great monitor for the price, i got it during black friday. The monitor is adjustable all around, height, pivel, sides, etc. 1440p 144hz gsync is awesome
  11. You should download MSI AfterBurner Monitor GPU and CPU usage in game. In a retail version and let us know results
  12. Is it possible you have Vertical Sync On (double buffered) so that it locks fps at 15 >?
  13. See RAM capacity as storage : As long as you don't need more storage, no need to buy more right ? If your ram usage never goes above 10 gb while u use ur computer, no need to buy 32 gb....
  14. If you never need more than 16 gb yes, if you do use more than 16gb when using ur computer than keep the 32gb Also, if you plan to keep this computer for like 10 years, keep the 32 gb
  15. Yep and thats horrible way to program game physic, terrible
