  1. Kinda confirming what I told you Choose between security or performance, up to you. If you don't have any business on the computer then keep the performance, my advise.
  2. Those security bios update are mostly important for corporations, companies, like people who can't have any security breaches. I'm pretty sure this is the update concerning the malware that is able to read the info in the RAM.
  3. Yes that bios patch decreases performance a bit. I didn't do it because I use my pc for games and youtube so I have nothing to worry about security i don't care about it
  4. 9900K wins in gaming in almost every games tho Even if not winning by far... Point is : If you only game on your pc I guess 9900k still better If you game and stream or do other shit I guess the 3900x is the best buy Look for myself, I watch youtube, play games, or listen to music on my pc. Nothing else. I prefer to have 5% more FPS in games so I would probably go with the 9900k
  5. I know right guys ! I have been using this comp for 3 years now, never had an issue, but I realise I move the tower seomtimes to vaccum under my desk you know, could have been the result of a slack RAM stick ! So far so good played entire pubg game and its good i have to say when I was typing my other post and then for the first time the comp restarted without me being in PUBG, The computer kept restarting after, I wouldn't even reach windows or post So that would make sense that, the ram stick was kinda okay to work but then I must have hit the tower with my knee hard just nought to move the ram stick a bit more so that contact was not correctly made anymore and result of the escalating reboots of my computer... bad writing i know im high but glad that issue seems to be fixed, i will update if not, but so far looks good cheers guys !
  6. Update : While I was writing my last post, for the first time, the computer did reboot on itself, I wasnt in PUBG, not even alt tabed. So I opened the case and verified all connections entirely from psu side , motherbnoard side, as well as all other component and found 1 thing : A little but still obvious "slack" in a memory stick. Even if that's stupid, I hope that was the issue , we will see
  7. I know right !! I can play BF V for hours with gpu being 100% used all the time and cpu way more used than in PUBG and the computer never restart Temps are fine with HWM as well while gaming in pubg this problem is so weird Maybe I should try and format clean windows idk Since the problem is only with 1 software and all hardware and other software works as intended perfectly I don't see how the hardware can be the issue I blame the game lol
  8. If it would be PSU issue it would reboot while other games as well and benchmarks etc.. right so at this point im starting to point PUBG as a major failure game lol i know its plenty of bugs but it will be the first time I have a game making my computer reboot all the time for no reason like th at tho it wouldnt surprise me with pubg...
  9. Yea... got a 650W brand new... doesn't make any sense... and don't have this issue for any other games or like even if I run a benchmark for 24h
  10. Hi, Computer reboot itself automatically sometimes in PUBG for no reason. - Set BIOS to default gave the same result - Set all OC to off gave the same result - Restart on error option in Windows performance settings is turned off - All drivers up to dates - Performance is perfectly fine temps are good as usual on cpu and gpu - Reinstalled PUBG At this point, should I look into PSU / SSD ? The auto reboot doesn't give any blue screen or info Any ideas ? Outside of PUBG I had no problems but I might need to test with another game for longer sessions to see if it only happens in pubg but so far it looks like it's only related to pubg
  11. It's called time management and you will need it the more you grow up Just calculate the time you play every day and stop after 5 hours U can use a timer like dgsddfgdfhgs said
  12. 4 core 4 threads will have a hard time to follow in some titles that are cpu demanding but in titles that are gpu bounds you will be fine If you can get a 6700k used that would help a ton with a 2060 or 2070 but even then the gpu is probably still bottlenecked by the 6700k a bit but nothing to worry about really
  13. Yep that make sense. One thing you could consider is sell cpu for whatever and get a 2600k for 4 extra threads LEts say you can't afford the full platform upgrade, a quick little upgrade just to run smooth BF V is not a bad idea either. I would say if you tend to keep the computer for another 3-5 years it's worth it to upgrade the CPU to a 2600k or 3770 IF you will change the computer in 1-2 year then surely is not worth it
  14. Yes it's really worth if you can have it for cheap, the i7 8 threads will allow you to play BF V smoothly there will be a huge difference. Also consider getting 2x4gb more for a 16GB total and you will be set. BF V is very cpu demanding and the extra 4 thread will help a ton I myself had a 4690K and BF 1 and BF V were getting cpu lag (stutters) cpu would be at 100% usage often Got a 6700k and difference was huuuuge Also a 580 can run BF V @ ultra settings @ 1080p 60 hertz which it will do with a 3770 even 8 GB total ram should be enough SEe below : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jgJXPmKovX8
  15. Most likely not connected or bad contact, reinstall screen and everything make sure u know
  16. You can just create 2 partition on your 1TB SSD with 1 partition of like 50 GB or else, dedicated to Windows and another partition for the rest for all your games apps etc.
  17. Nothing bad having a pagefile. You can have a 16GB pagefile and it doenst change anything in your system performance. Pagefile is only used if you run out of memory or for some specific process Limiting pagefile to 500mb doesn't help or do anything, you should actually raise that to like 4GB unless you have limited space on your HDD/SSD
  18. Dual channel memory increases FPS mostly just when you use HD graphics (no independant graphic card) When you use a GPU, dual channel memory increases fps only by a little... I garantee your issue is coming from your CPU. Adding Dual Channel would still help a bit but you will still lag often very often actually 4 cores CPU are not that good anymore you need at least 8 threads, so an i7 Lag will disappear even if you still in single channel ram mode.
  19. go in CMD and type winver what windows version are you running ?
