  1. I have a computer that I used since 2013. I used to use the sound that the motherboard outputs and yes, it worked fine. But after I installed Planet Coaster I began to notice, especially with more dense and demanding areas of the parks (such as a lot of guests to simulate voices for, a cluster of loud and complex rides to generate sounds and play music for and coasters to generate sound effects for) a lot of stuttery and laggy sound. I bought a 5.1 Asus sound card and installed it and, almost immediately, I began to notice the difference. Stuttery sound was gone in almost all situations (the point where it would struggle would be the point where the frame rate dropped so I'm assuming at that point everything became too demanding for the whole PC). It worked. Then I put one in my older office PC that I used to play some low-demand games on like Minecraft, Robocraft, FNAF and a little bit of GMod. And, while it rarely stuttered with any sound, the improvement was very noticeable through my set of HiFi speakers, especially bass in Robocraft and treble (such as footsteps and water) in Minecraft. It was similar to the difference in audio when a YouTube video plays and the sound sounds muffled and too compressed until you get a stronger 4G connection, just less extreme and more subtle. For me, sound cards are anything but a placebo.
  2. Ok, so I need a single-slot graphics card because of the limitations of my motherboard as displayed below with my amazing punctuation art |=============| PCIE one (graphics card) |====| Small PCIE one (Wi-Fi adapter) |====| Small PCIE two (Sound Card) It needs to stay inside its slot completely. Not bothered if nvidia or AMD, whichever one gives better performance. CPU: Intel Pentium G4560 3.5GHz Dual-Core Hyper-Threading Motherboard: B250M PRO-VD (MSI) I may be willing to move WiFi down and remove sound card but would rather not. I may be willing to move WiFi to a USB if a good adapter / dongle can be found. Low latency, fast (300mbps area) (faster ac standard if possible), Bluetooth (4.2 / 5) and 2.4 + 5 GHz ideally. Note: I have hay my eyes on this for a while but I'm aware that it's very poor bang-for-buck: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0719CR59P/?coliid=I1GXK7JQM41BBS&colid=3QSNBF9POZL0T&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it (I'm very open to AMD alternatives as long as they are compatible and give me more value for money for similar performance. I'm just know nothing about AMD cards ) (I've noted other GT1030s too and also be aware that there are 2 types GDDR5 and DDR4 (yeah, DDR4 on a graphics card you can guess how terrible that one is)) Note: I'm in UK so Newegg links are useless to me. Try amazon if possible plz Looking at the £70 - £100 price mark but I'm fully aware that at this price I'm better off investing a tiny bit more for greater performance. ($90 - $125 USD) ($120 - $170 CAD) Thank You!!!
  3. unfortunately not because there is only one long PCIe and two short ones. Good idea if needed though!
  4. Awesome! Thanks for the help!!!
  5. It says that they cannot find the item and that I need to check the item number? What is this confusioning?
  6. Oh, awesome! Cheers
  7. Oh well... I'm just gunna have to put up with a USB connection Unless.... I've ordered a PCI-e riser that will allow me to salvage the slot that the graphics card would otherwise be covering. I just dont know whether or not a PCI-e card can be held up by the case slot alone with the plug being connected to a riser that isn't offering any support. Thoughts? Thank you!
  8. Ok, so I have the following motherboard, and I need a cheap-ish/mid-range M.2 WiFi + Bluetooth card to go in it's M.2 slot: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/B250M-PRO-VD/Specification I'm struggling to find one and I'm scared I might get a wrong one because there's too many M.2 types and stuff and I canney be bothered I would like speeds of around 300+Mbps and as close to Bluetooth 5.0 as possible but if older Bluetooth is available then hey I'm not complaining if it's cheaper. I don't want a PCI-E one because I've already got one and there's not going to be any room for it and I don't want a USB one. Just an M.2 one. Any other suggestions are a waste of your time Hopefully this slot allows for WiFi cards... Thank you!
  9. Because PCIE's are full with graphics and sound card and I'm not having usb sticking out the back. There's a reason for everything.

  11. But I don't ant new builds, i want to make sure this one works. I appreciate it though!
  12. None of this is helping with my question though. I appreciate it though, but can we keep on topic. Thank you!
  13. Hey computer fans, I have a build for you to verify! I am in the U.K (£, GBP) £1 = $1.3 US I am currently getting my build for my life here at my mums sorted out and I am working on a tight budget (£500 max, as cheap as possible). I have worked out a great (I think) build, however, as it is my first time and I'm not exactly the worlds best expert, I may have tripped up. I would like to know if: A) all parts are compatible (I think they are) B) all parts are optimal / best for the job C) if I have found the best prices for all parts D) are all cables there (such as PSU or FanHub) E) are there any better solutions at the same price F) would thermals be an issue (CPU StuckCooler in use) I have looked around for a while for best prices, but there still may be some better ones out there. Also, in terms of graphics card, I know the RX460 (AMD) is more budget friendly but I have watched some videos and the 1050 is worth the little extra in my opinion. I'm only looking to play things like CS:GO, Rocket League and maybe a bit of Planet Coaster so no spectacular requirements are an issue. I have all peripherals so I do not need any more. My monitor is 1080p. So, for the bit you've all been waiting for: the build: (Most were free shipping, so don't worry about that) TT Versa H15 M-ATX Case-------------------£34.98 GIGABYTE GA-H110-DDR3-----------------£51.57(IncDelvery) Core i3-7100-------------------------------------£99.90 350W VS Series Corsair ATX PSU---------£32.97 GTX 1050 GIGABYTE OC 2GB-------------£108.47 QUMOX 8GB DDR3 1600 RAM-------------£46.00 TP-LINK PCIe Wireless Card----------------£11.99 Toshiba P300 1TB 3.5" HDD----------------£37.97 Mr HIGHTECH Win10 Home----------------£9.99 GameMax Galeforce Fans x4---------------£15.96 Phanteks ph-pwhub Fan hub----------------£17.99 ______________________________________Total 14 Items-------------------------------------£467.79 The places I found them from are below in identicle order: http://www.ebuyer.com/711134-thermaltake-versa-h15-m-atx-gaming-case-with-side-window-usb3-black-interior-ca-1d4-00s1wn-00 http://www.pcupgrade.co.uk/productdetails.asp?productid=36178&categoryid=728 https://www.amazon.co.uk/Intel-Core-I3-7100-3-90-GHz/dp/B01NCESRJX https://www.amazon.co.uk/Corsair-CP-9020095-UK-VS350-Power-Supply/dp/B009X1KGXS http://www.ebuyer.com/761963-gigabyte-nvidia-geforce-gtx-1050-oc-2gb-gv-n1050oc-2gd https://www.amazon.co.uk/QUMOX-PC3-12800-Desktop-Memory-240pin/dp/B00TGPSHI2/ref=sr_1_46?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1502139069&sr=1-46&keywords=1600+8gb+DDR3 http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing-accessories/components-upgrades/interface-cards/tp-link-tl-wn881nd-pcie-wireless-card-10119361-pdt.html http://www.ebuyer.com/726222-toshiba-p300-1tb-3-5-sata-high-performance-hard-drive-oem-hdwd110uzsva https://www.mrhightech.net/operating-systems/3571-microsoft-windows-10-home-0885370909784.html https://www.amazon.co.uk/Computer-Silent-120mm-Galeforce-iCHOOSE/dp/B01FXJBH72?th=1 https://www.amazon.co.uk/Phanteks-PH-PWHUB_01-system-fan-hub/dp/B00M0R05WE It may not be the most interesting build or forum post, but feel free to brag about your builds and give me any criticism, constructive or not. Im ready for your potato and toaster comments. Just note, I have a not-so-budget computer at my dads Fire Away!
