Buy 3070 or 3070ti... or same level Radeon 3060 Ti is Memery chip lottery. Either its Hynix V1 that has a lot of issues, or its Samsung.

Anything other than 3060 TI. Its Memory Chip lottery, since early revisions have Hynix memory mounted on them. Most people who faced with such cards call Hynix V1... But i disagree wetih this "naming", since these memories are Engineering samples and were not for mass market use. So, if you are lucky... you can try...

Just want to update the status of this issue that here in CIS (mostly Russia) is being accured. "According to last information, the video memory malfunction mimics the video chip malfunction. The memory even passes special technological tests. The repair consists in replacing the faulty "cans" of memory, but unfortunately such repair is not enough for a long time, and after a while another chip fails. A radical solution to the problem is to replace all Hynix memory with memory from another manufacturer, such as Samsung. Signs of memory chips malfunction and their mass nature indicate a defect in production or miscalculations in chip design, perhaps one large batch of problematic chips has come. Previously, defective memory was encountered by owners of graphics cards with Micron memory on board and now the turn has come to Hynix.” Perhaps there are someone who faced with the same issue outside CIS?

xD yeah... we also had such hats... but when started to receive more and more 3060Ti card -we start digging. We would agree with this comment... but we also have cards from ordinary users that did not mined (According to their comments) also was one of the first reasons why they might be dieing... but guys checked them and fans works are on Best level. and also... if was, lets say, 5-10 cards per month we would not accent on this issue... but we guys constantly receive 3060TI cards with Hynix PERHAPS, since we record these issues only on local level, on European and US market People also might think like you and they throw the blame on the users, but we would like to get more global statistics, if there are such... After all, the easiest way is not always the right way. That is why we need to talk about it. We had other issues with 2GB hynix memory that were installed on AMD Radeon cards, but since these cards are not so popular on local market, we didnt take them into account.

So.... My friends work in repair service. An they are having a lot of 3060 Ti with issues. Most of them show that there is some strange relationship with Hynix memory. We tried to Google it, but it seems that this issue either being removed or not officially posted. The main issue that received 3060Ti cards come with Hynix memory (did not found with other memory), but according Manufacturing documents we can install Samsung memory. So, if we want to fix this issue , we need to change all Hynix memory, since time passes and if we leave any of these memory, card will return with same memory issue. We cannot identify which of the eHynix memories on card is broken, since one test they pass, othere test - Black screen. Logs dont help. The only solution that we have at this moment - to change all memory on card to Samsung. And most of these observations are not official. We collected this data from those 3060TI that we receive from clients (miners and ordinary users) and statistic from our colleagues from other repair services. When one of repair partners tried to official announce it (say not to but 3060Ti) sicne they have issues), one of our local distributors contacted with us “showed us “BanHammer” People come to us saying that they (cards): - crash - lagg - BSOD - dont work properly Most of them are PALIT and Gigabyte ones Several month we have this strange issues with Hynix memory. for the last month we received 30 RTX 3060ti Cards. And mostly due to these memories cards die but they are repairable. In worst cases - Graphic chip dies. Each month the quantity of GPU with Hynix memory issues that we receive increase exponentially. Is it due to cooling issues? Perhaps not... BUT thesee Hynix memory extrimely sensitive to temperature changes So, i googled the issue for friends, and most of results are provided by Miners but issue was about hash speed. They compare the same card with Samsung and Hynix... and in most of cases Hynix ones work not well. Riggs with Samsung memory can work well, but when Hynix card is added - All rig starts to work not so optimal we are trying to find any other reason why cards die... but all our stats are collected in one country... so... we are looking for additonal info in the world.

So... I have a question. How many devieces we can instal using these 24 PCI lanes?) We had a discussion with friends and one of them advised: 1 GPU (16)+2xNVME SSD (2x4) other one says that it should be more... it might be stupid... but he claims, that with new technology (PCiE 3.0->PCiE 4.0 ->PCiE 5.0) request less lanes for GPUs. SO if PCie 3.0 you could use all 16 lanes, on PCiE 4.0 without cutting performance 8 lanes will be enough... and for PCiE 5.0 = 4 lanes

Totally agree with GamerDude. Firstly, card worked fine for about an year on basic BIOS, and only previous August these Fan problems revealed. So, this should be either software problem, that of AMD that doesnt switch fans ON, or its something wrong with FAn controller. Secondly, First of all i need to think temporary replacement for this card, since if i want to send it to service, i need something to pare with 3950X. 5600XT already was temporary solution since was waiting for 3090 for relevent price... but it is still too high for me. I thought to buy Sapphire 6900XT, but i feel that i will have same fan issue with it. One of "local" repair shops inform that there are two issues on RX6000 series 1. AMD RX5000 and RX6000 series have problems with Graphic chip (according their local repair statistic) 2. There are not many manufactured devices from which whole parts can be pulled.

+Hi there. Im havign strange issue. 5600XT from August 2021 (Card was bought August 2020) started having some strange issue. Fans dont spin. And temps during game was in 80+ region. In AMD software i started to use Custom fan setting, and after Switching ON these settings, fans started to work. But after GPU Driver crash these setting backing up to manufacture settings and again fans dont spin. 2 weeks ago during World War Z i got issue with GPU crash (Black screen) Found out during 3DMARK FireForce test that that Card started showing Artifacts (Red , green and Blue background blinks and white stripes) and few moment later it crashes. Start game - crashes. Work with OFFICE - no crashes. So I Undervolted GPU and its fine now. BUT, we found out that if we just use Default settings, and go IDLE - temps will be 100+ on GPU and 105 on memory. Why? HOW? And Fans still dont want to spin. Ive created seperate settings for this and fans work when temps go 50C+, but know with 3000RPM temps are always 80C+ What is wrong? Why Fans dont want to spin and why iwhen PC is IDLE temps go so high? PC: 3950X Gigabyte x570 Aorus Elite 4 sticks of ram 3200Mhz 16GB each Seasonic Platimum 850

At this moment sitting on GSkill Trident Z 2x8GB DDR4 3200Mhz (F4-3200C16D-16GTZKW) And now Im trying myself on DaVinci and as I understood 32GB is Recommended capicity of RAM for its work. What is best memory for 3950X? What Timing and Speed would be normal for 3950X? We have lot of Corsair, HYPERX and Gskill units. But their Timing not perfect. and NO, i am not interested in OC (Just dont know how)

At this moment I have started learning how to use DaVinci Resolve and was told that optimal RAM capacity for system should be not less than 32 GB So now i need to upgrade. What is best RAM for 3950X? What Timing and Speed would be normal for 3950X? I am googling local market and there are some HYPEX, Corsair's and Gkills on 3200 and 3600mhz. I dont know will it help, but on one of russian tech blog YT channel was shown dissamble of Gigabyte 3080 Aorus were thermal pads were melted and some oil was on card. Perhaps its a quality of this pads... or because it is from Russia,,, but still i didn't believe that it is possible... untill I opened this thread. Seems... with 3090 i will need to by additional pads for it.

Hi there Just received notification about one video on YT. Started reviewing and find out, that most of 3060 Graphic cards were sold before launch day. Interesting. What is also interesing that scalpers also started sales days before... Where? Russia.... Most of 3060 were sold before 25th Feb. One of invoices is dated 21th Feb. I understand, that "Lether Jacket Man's" team creates only GPU chips. But still if LMG publishes video before launch date, LMG would be fighting with Lawyers. But why when all internet is full with data about sales before launch, Nvidia is sitting quite? More I hear about Nvidia Cards the less I want to believe in NVIDIA... and more "Red" is my PC... Ok. So the situation is next. I have a lot of raw family VHS videotapes which I'm converting to Digital hardware. And i need to make a lot of adjustmests and Editing. An ordinary Sony Vegas was enough for me for these works, but since during the quarantine I somehow fired up with the desire to do video editing and drawing, and I also play videogames and make footages that I also want to share with the guys. In general, I downloaded DaVinci Resolve and now I am studying it. And I thought: - It's clear with games, I just installed it, and it will be installed on the disk that you indicated, well, it also partially installs on the disk with the system (C :). But what about such programs as DaVinci, do they also need to be installed on the disk with the system, or can they be put on a separate one (second SSD)? - Also, should I store footage on SSD or HDD will be enough? At the moment I am uploading all the raw video to the hard disk with 5400 rpm. - What about the work itself and what about final project, also save on the SSD?

Hi there. I am looking for some knowledge. Currently I'm having Following confuguration: AMX 3950X Gigabyte x570 Aorus Elite PowerColor 5600X Seasonic prime 750 (or 850? Dont remember) ADATA XPG sx8200 1 GB m2 SSD Samsung EVO 120 GB (system) Samsung PRO 512 GB 4 TB Seagete Baracuda HDD 1 TB WD HDD All in Lian Li Dynamic XL case So, i want to upgrade this system, but RTX 3000 series either out of stock or prices are too high. Same for Radeon. But I'm optimist and will wait till times when GPU will be available. At this moment I need to upgrade my monitors, so money will go first for it. But still i need to change system SSD. 120 GB is not enough now. Yesteday installed DaVinci Resolved and now i have 2GBs of free space. Chrome with OPERA will not be happy. And know i start to pounder. I have 2xM2 slots. One of them should be on PCIe 4.0 lanes. 6 Sata connectors on MB. And i need to upgrade all this system Currently i want to install additional m2 SSD with high capacity to PCI 4.0 m2 slot, replace system SATA SSD to 500GB+ Option. And replace 1 TB HDD, or just increase HDD capacity by adding 2 additonal sata HDD. How many devices am i able to install? And as i know on some MBs Sata slots shotdown when m2. slots are used. An also, as I undestand, if i use all m2. and sata slots, my GPU will use not 16, but 8 lines of PCIe, am i right? If it is so, aprocimately how many performance I will lose (in percentage)?

Hi. It seems that there something wrong with VRM. After my post those USB ports work well. No problems. Perhaps there was huge stress for MB so it tried to "kill" those lines. I've gave 24H rest and it works fine Perhaps it was not ready for 24/7 use of PC during "Cobra-19" ) Yes, i have heared that AMD new CPU will not support B450 and x470 MBs, but still this MB for me is some sort of "transit" to other MB. 3950X is very nice CPU. At this moment due to lack of "instruments" on local market and increase in price for buying Devices from other countries I just sit quite and wait for some changes) Would like to change to Aorus Master or even to overkill XTREME... maybe to Crosshair... But first, i should make some adjustment in spec of current pc and find solution in fixing my shitty Internet.
