  1. I'm here now. It's asking me to delete format mga drive. I think the "asking for license" is later in the process Should i delete format my drive?
  2. I used the windows 10 media creation tool. I just searched windows 10 media and found microsoft web site on creating my own bootable flash drive Was that the correct process?
  3. This is the thing that I'm concerned about It should put automatically correct? Are there any other alternatives in the unlikely event of this happening?
  4. Ow ok Now this are the steps i have taken so far: Search for windows 10 iso Make a bootable flash drive using the iso I'm just really being careful as to not lose the license
  5. Ow that's awesome then Now i just need to know how to reinstall windows. I only know how to format. Formating and install is the same thing as reinstalling?
  6. What i wanted to do: reset/clean windows for a fresh start What happened: windows promoted a "something went wrong" message while waiting for it to finish Now it's stuck in a boot loop. It will show the laptop logo/brand then a black screen then repeat It seems windows has been corrupted or something. I don't want to use a flash drive to format it. I don't want to lose the windows license Is there a way to retrieve the license? Any hope in restoring it without a full format?
  7. Im not sure if there is a itx version of the msi b450 tomahawk
  8. How about swapping the cpu for a r5 3600 or r7 3700x. Then recycle your part such as psu, storage, and case( ifwith fans) to cut down on the budget Can i ask for the spect of your current pc? Let's see what parts can be reused
  9. Oh I'm sorry, haven't notice your budget was in Canadian dollars (CAD). Am i correct?
  10. Wait for the rtx3000 series and check there performance(at least you have more options)
  11. You could check this list out. You can recycle your psu and use it on your new build. You can change the case (i just took the cheapest case) or use your existing case for your new build and storage PCPartPicker Part List Type Item Price CPU AMD Ryzen 9 3900X 3.8 GHz 12-Core Processor $429.00 @ Amazon Motherboard MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX ATX AM4 Motherboard $124.99 @ Newegg Memory G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory $106.99 @ Newegg Storage Samsung 970 Evo 500 GB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive $89.99 @ B&H Video Card MSI GeForce RTX 2070 8 GB VENTUS GP Video Card $419.99 @ Newegg Case DIYPC DIY-BG01 ATX Mid Tower Case $47.96 @ Newegg Prices include shipping, taxes, rebates, and discounts Total $1218.92 Generated by PCPartPicker 2020-08-24 22:21 EDT-0400
  12. I think the seasonic focus series are pretty good and reliable. I think there is a pinned post about psu's in the general discussions. All the info we need about psu are in there
  13. Pretty solid build . Would suggest 600w up psu for future proofing. Rtx 3000 series sucks 400w base on the leaks (aiming to meet the requirements of an pretty high-end build for psu(just me))
  14. Hi! Dunno where to put this topic(sorry) But i was wondering if there is an app or settings on an Android phone that can automatically translate a video language in real time as a caption. Scenario: I don't have any subtitles that i can download for anime, korean films, thai films, etc. on my phone. I think i saw news about this feature on pixel phones back in 2018 or 19? Dunno if that's a pixel only feature though Thanks!
  15. Get a seasonic or other flagship name brand in about 450W and you good Would suggest buying a 600-650W for future-proofing.
  16. I bought 16gb or ram from my brothers friend. We knew the guy so i was comfortable buying it For a gpu i think as long as you confirmed that it was not used in mining, it should last you a few years before you can't play the latest games(base from a friend that bought a 2nd hand desktop).
  17. if you can do a test bench kinda platform and mount it in your mounting holes? i think linus said this before(not 100% sure) you can use a raspberry pi to make it as smol and power efficient media player for your TV
  18. well ill try to format it now and check what happens
  19. i was thinking of formatting it before that. if the format doesn't do it, RMA it is. but i was hoping someone can help me without the need for a format
