I have a GTX 1050 that's starting to show it's age and i want to upgrade.
However, i'm not sure if I should wait until the new series gets released since i heard it will be a massive jump in performance, or if i should buy now.
You'll have to put time to your overclocks if you truly want the best and most stable clocks your system can achieve. If you don't really know how to overclock, you may want to look up a guide before you start messing with things.
I don't have animals, don't put liquids on my desk due to past experiences (rip keyboard) , my sister is a teen and it will be on the mobo box so i guess it's fine
I'd like to buy an MSI GTX 1060 Gaming X since it's 15 US$ cheaper than the EVGA SC version, however it doesn't fit in my case due to the drive bays
I will buy a case in the future or try to mod my case(it's really old an cheap) but in the mean time I wanted to know if it would be a good idea to run case-less
I have a asus motherboard, it allows me to change lighting by software and BIOS.
I'd recommend you explore your BIOS to see if there is an option to disable it
Install something like HWMonitor, MSI Afterburner or other tools that will allow you to see usage and temps of your hardware, maybe something is overheating
