  1. Re-post: Oops, sorry, I just found the Troubleshooting forum, so if a mod sees this, can you delete my post from Graphics Cards? Alright, you guys are my last hope; I just built a new PC and it keeps shutting down while gaming. I have searched every corner of the Internet trying to find a solution but none work. However, even though I still don't know what exactly the problem is, I made some discoveries: I downloaded multiple benchmark programs, and every single one of them passed without problems... except one. I tried using OCCT v5.5.1, it has multiple benchmarking options: OCCT, Linpack, 3D, Memtest, and Power. The computer performs well in all of them except the 3D option, where it shuts down after a couple of seconds. Temperatures, voltage, vram, everything looks fine. I find it funny since the Power option supposedly stresses both the CPU and GPU to their maximum performance, but only when testing 3D is when it shuts down. One more thing. I have to flip the switch in the PSU when it shuts down in order to turn on the PC again. Please, help. This is my first PC build and I'm very frustrated. I'll attach an image with my results in Power mode if that helps. Thanks. My specs: Motherboard: MSI B350M BAZOOKA CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 2700 GPU: Radeon RX 590 RAM: 16GB DDR4-2133 PSU: EVGA 500W 80+

  3. Greetings, I recently bought a gaming laptop, the HP Gaming Pavilion - 15-cx0042nr, and I've been experiencing some serious issues; most games work perfectly, but Battlefield games, 4 and 5 to be more specific, freeze my computer after about 1 hour of gameplay, and the Caps key starts flashing. Apparently that means there's a power issue; I haven't experienced this problem with other demanding games yet, so I'm guessing Battlefield for some reason is using more power than it should. This is not the only power related issue I have; rarely my charger would randomly connect and disconnect while playing, and the only way to resolve it is to restart the computer. I would like to hear your thoughts. Thanks.
  4. Ok, I just discovered something, my problem isn't stuttering as I thought (I really apologize for that), it's ghosting, but It only happens with the 1050 I tried this test, and yes, it's definitively ghosting: https://www.testufo.com/#test=framerates
  5. Sorry for the late response. I have new information and it is weirder than before, but first, this is what I've done: 1. Cleared the CMOS, didn't help at all. 2. I decided to format my PC because I was so tired of this, didn't help at all. 3. I used Afterburner to limit the FPS, didn't help at all. 4. Tested the RAM, no problems Now, the weirdness: 1. Nier Automata recovered its 30-40 fps 2. When I limit the fps to 30 with Afterburner, the frame times are excellent, but the horrible stuttering remain. 3. The thing that I describe as stuttering is like 2 or 3 frames stuck together, and I repeat, it ONLY happens under the refresh rate (60). Something like this... And yeah, the AMD card was too old.
  6. Thank you very much for watching the video. So it was really my CPU... I've never overclocked it, so I'll try to do what you said. But first I think I should provide more information about my CPU: I bought this PC as refurbished, but I never thought about changing the CPU because I think it's pretty good, I've even seen videos on it paired with the same GPU and it works just fine. After I bought it I changed the HDD, added a 8gb RAM stick (same speed) and a AMD card (then the 1050) but I started to experience stuttering only after I changed the GPU. Could there be something wrong with the CPU or something that interferes? Could someone have overclocked the CPU before I bought it? One more time I would appreciate answers.
  7. I think it would be much easier to everybody if I share a video: https://mega.nz/#!hkJ3CbxR!SFLGjqCN9asqgnWCwHkahk6o4kn9aU4kazLxnxMtD0w it is from Resident Evil 7, the game that most stutters. Now, you will notice heavy lag, ignore it please, the actual game doesn't lag.
  8. Ok, this is what I've seen in Afterburner with my heaviest games: Resident Evil 7: 1800 vram, 60-40fps, 15-30ms, this is probably the game that most stutters; Rise of the Tomb Raider: 1800-1900 vram, 50-40fps, 20-25ms, in this game the stuttering is less noticeable; Battlefield 4, Battlefield 1, Prey, GTA V and COD AV: 1500-1900 vram, constant 60fps, 15-20ms, these games rarely drop below 60fps, but when it happens they also stutter and it's still annoying (like I said, stuttering is worse when I limit the fps to 30 no matter the game, with the exception of Forza Motorsport 6, it runs at 30fps and smooth, kind of weird) DDU didn't help at all...
  9. OK ok ok ok, first, something really weird just happened: after installing MSI afterburner I suddenly get constant 60fps in Nier Automata, let me try with other games. And yes, I did delete the AMD folder.
  10. UPDATE: Ok, so after researching the internet I found 3 really weird things: 1: If I lock the frame rate at 30fps in the games' settings it stutters as hell, opposite case in 'variable' or 60 (until I get drops obviously) 2: Looks like I had a virus (Bitcoin miner) which supposedly affects GPU performance. Location:C:\Users\My name\AppData\Local\Temp\{a lot of numbers and letters}\vds.exe I think my antivirus already solved it, but I'm still a little worried, and the stuttering continues. 3: I think this is the real problem, but I don't know what to do. Before I got my 1050 I had an AMD card, which had no stuttering problems but I changed it because it was weaker. So, before changing it, I obviously first uninstalled the AMD drivers and then connect the 1050. BUT, I recently noticed that in the system32 folder, AMD left a lot of files, and some say that it could be interfering with the drivers. Any new ideas??? please, this is driving me crazy. I want to use all the possible solutions before I actually reinstall Windows
  11. Sigh* Listen, I know my GPU is in the low end, but I only get stutter when the games run under the refresh rate. For example Resident Evil 7, everything running great af, but when I get fps drops, no matter how little they are, it will stutter. I have already received enough humiliation on my GPU in other web pages.
  12. I really appreciate your help, but I know what are you trying to do. You want my PC to load as little as possible, so it can keep my games at over 60 fps. I want normal fps without stutter, I don't care if they run at 30, but I want my games smooth without sacrifice quality, because I'm aware of what my PC can really handle, and what I'm experiencing is definitely not normal. I've been monitoring my GPU memory usage, it is completely normal, it doesn't exceed anything, max memory have seen is 1.5gb Thank you by the way.
  13. I just see your post. I know it feels horrible, but your problem is different. You get low fps after 3 hours, while I get them instantly and only below the refresh rate of my monitor. But now that I see your CPU, I guess that's not the problem for any of us. I think it's your RAM, 4gb it's the minimum for Dota 2, maybe it gets full after the 3 hours.
  14. Hi, thank you for your reply. I honestly doubt this, I've watch videos about this card and some of my problematic games run quite well, also GeForce Experience has optimized them. I have discovered something new too: when I change to 75hz, the same thing happens every time the fps drop from that number, even 60
