Demand is probably the contributing factor. Not a whole lot of people really buy fancy KVM switches, so naturally they're going to be overpriced like hell.

Personally i like OBS for streaming (use the GFXCards Hardware encoding)... 720p streaming should be fine on that rig but 1080p might be pushing it on some titles like PUBG, BF1 GTAV

Green screening is definitely a GPU issue, my 980 does that when running unstable clocks. Check temps and see what speed the card is boosting too, if needed, apply a negative offset of 100MHz to keep the card slower and see does that make them go away after you tried a fresh driver install. Keep the card under 70°C too if possible
 

any situation where you think your having GFX problems use DDU to uninstall and reinstall your drivers... if the problem continues more trouble shooting is required... try that and report back

Unless daddy AMD comes in at CES with something they didn't hype up that totally demolishes Novideo, of course. That'd be cool, although massively unlikely.

we might see more ram added to the cards but dont expect anything game changing... id love to be wrong but they dont need to do anything to stay on top of the gaming pile

well yes if money is no object but for the price for a Ryxzen 5 and mobo you could get dual X5650 with 64bg of ram and there is NO WAY ryzen 5 is going to edit video better than a dual Xeon setup.

You have 65.5 GB in decimal, 64 in binary. 64GiB is the binary only measurement. 

thats going to be the pump not fan... the pump needs to run ALL THE TIME at the same speed, the fans will ramp up when it gets hot but the pump will move the same volume of water hens 99%

For a $3000 rig? Get the top of the line Ryzen 7 chip.

R7 1700, 8 cores/16 threads and with a bit of luck can be overclocked to 4Ghz. If it wants cores, why is that not good then?
The I7 has 6 cores/12 threads. As far as i know 8 is more than 6.
 
16 cores/32 threads is indeed a bit crazy and expensive but i don't see an issue with an 8-core...
