Hey. Should we assume the games are played on a 4K display? Or is it just the videofootage that's at that resolution?

There's isn't that much difference between a 4090 and more midrange cards like 3070, nor between AMD and Nvidia cards at the same price
    However the A770 sucks...
I'd suggest OP to get something like the 6800xt, less than 600EUR, or the new 4060ti if he absolutely wants Nvidia

Thank you so much for your response. Right now a 3090 from asus goes for around 1400. In Europe prices are always far more expensive than in the U.S. or Canada. Probably tariffs and taxes. I saw a 3080ti from zotac for 1000 so i might also go for that one but the extra vram would be nice.
Thanks for your response. I am also hesitant with getting an AM4 CPU because it is the end of the line for that socket. with 1700 i have some upgrade paths down the line. And I think I will wait a bit for announcements to come and buy them then, but right now is a pretty good time to buy GPUs and CPUs in Germany.
    Thanks so much!
i had not considered the first point actually! thank you. I was thinking of getting one by EKWB as 280 AiOs are hard to come by weirdly enough.
I was actually thinking of leaving the top panel off as well and also to opt for the mesh kit as i really like that aesthetic.

Surface book is a great choice, with a big oomph to the graphic side bc dedicated CPU.
Or pretty sure anything in this list for detachable keyboard: https://onedrive.live.com/view.aspx?resid=A3E71B4BBE25C114!107&ithint=file%2cxlsx&authkey=!AAO1lowxloMJjhM

thanks guys for the help! sorry for the infrequent posting haha. I think I will definitely go team red as far as CPU is concerned (unless team blue comes out with an amazing price competitive CPU which i frankly do not really see for the consumer market but who knows!).

And you are right i completely forgot to factor in GPU limitations on certain codecs... so i guess NVIDIA it is which is fine by me!

@RejZoR as for buying a card independently. i guess i didn't make it clear in my first post but i would essentially be building the PC from the ground up. Essentially my gaming computer in my last 4 years has boiled down to a ps4 pro and a surface pro 4... so i have absolutely no Base. However i still have the chassis of my old gaming PC from many many moons ago haha.
