Ok, so I'm looking to buy a new gaming desktop. I'm Canadian, so I've been looking on sites like NCIX and my price limit is around 3000. My initial reaction is being completely overwhelmed with the amount of hardware and I'm very out of the loop. I was thinking of using a site like NCIX to design my own but I know enough that without having intimate knowledge of part compatibility I could very easily design something that was deeply flawed. Which lead me into the area of pre-built systems and this was equally confusing as prices wildy range and I'm not quite sure how much I should be expected to spend. I did some poking around different literature online and got the impression that spending anything over 2000 was just ridiculous. So I guess I should clarify that I'm looking for something to play rather high-end titles like The Witcher 3 and Prey. I would like something that was of quality and not totally obsolete in a year. Upgradable is a huge plus. Fancy cases are great but only if it doesn't jack the price up 500 bucks. So yeah, I would love any recommendations on quality pre-builds or any tips for design. What should I realistically look to spend? Good sites for buying and prices? This is a lot, but I feel lost. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thank you for reading
