  1. It wont work. Wd-40 is a creeping oil, ie its really really good at getting through impossible openings. Also it will evaporate quite quickly. Use regular mineraloil instead if you absolutely have to. Or just water and some brown-ish dye
  2. Album of the final pics of the pc before the parts move on to other projects Competing at dreamhack summer 2018 casemod championship in the master class. I call it The Blue Smurf and a lot of thought and planning has gone into the build. I will update the thread with a small build-log in the future. Specs/hardware: I9 7920X @4.9ghz/ ASROCK X299 ITX /48GB CORSAIR 3400mhz / Nvidia 980(waiting for 1180) Lian li sfx 700watt. The case with cooling is using glasstubing OD12mm togheter with a custom psu shroud made by me. Along with the bottom plate. Using double 240 radiators givesme decent cooling with both fans pushing air out through radiator. Ofcourse all lightning is RGB configurable through the hue+ system from nzxt.
  3. Rob a bank, or two.
  4. More pictures of the build Glasstubing, small formfactor, high performance! Why would that go wrong?:D 7920x @4,9 Delidded Asrock x299 itx 48GB 3600mhz So-Dimm DDR4 nvidia 980 (waiting for next gen)
  5. So after competing in Dreamhack Masterclass @ DHW17 and NOT winning i decided that its time to change that. Hence a new project is born. I have two options in my mind as of this moment. option one: Use a louqe Ghost s1 with an external cooling tower that i will use custom plexiroutings on etc. Im thinking 2 360's and 1 240 chaped as a triangle Option two: Inwin 909 with an LCD display in the glass that will be see through. Some powerful leds on the inside should show off the screen and the inside nicely. The tray/backpart of the motherboard will be custom plexirouting. Also a custom res on the back. Option three, any suggestions? And also is there any companies out there that are looking to get some visibility in the nordic? I travel althrough scandinavia to compete in the casemod competitions so that might be a nice visibility touch. My latest build: Got Rads?
  6. Honestly im almost up there whilst encoding videos at 1.3. Using customwatercooling with watertemps at 30c. Wth do i do to lower temps further? And can the cores go higher or should they also stay lower than 80c?
  7. What voltage are you running your cpu at? Have a 5960x aswell. Using a maximum of 1.3 volts as ive been recommended. Dare i go higher? Using custom watercooling
  8. Oh i see. Im going to throw up the pc on my living room wall(moving soon). So i dont reslly want a lightfest. Maybe if there is a way to spread light on the pc without revealing lightsource?
  9. I personally believe you are right. Drain, fill again with distilled water, drain untill fluid turns clear and then drain as much as you can. Should not be any problems.
  10. There is no way you can completely drain a system with vertical radiators any other way, unless you unmount the rads ofcourse. Or apply proper pressurised air. The former no ty, the latter is nothing i have in my apartment unfortunately.
  11. Remove plug, crack open drainvalve and open res cap. After my right-most tube is drained i remove that so i can blow into the upper right radiator. Which will force the liquid out of my system. Works great, gets out all of the liquid. Honestly its a lot harder to drain the water from the radiators rather than the loops. I like that, maybe i should do that instead? But wouldnt it look quite...conflicted?
  12. Well you might be right if im running the fans at full swosh. But im running them at constant 6-700rpm. So the water shouldnt lose much heat in by going through the rads. But yes i agree that going gpu-rad-cpu would be better for temps. Question is though how i would make that look decent? That isnt a problem. The water is moving with enough pressure to shuffle the air along. It was a bitch to prime the pump though Had to get creative and use my mouth to create pressure in the res.
  13. It might differ 1-2 degrees but the fluid is moving so fast that it doesent matter anymore then that. Especially since im using dual DDC pumps. So the fluid is moving very fast even though all the rads i have.
  14. Ofcourse! Thanks, not the most clean build...but should be unique. Im using the bloodred EK coolant, im pretty sure it isnt uv-reactive. + Doesent the uv reaction wear off pretty quickly? anyway i was thinking of illuminating the gpu and pump too. But id like to keep the rest dimmed. Maybe the res too?
