  1. No I didn't even get far enough to try to format the drive, just plugging the damn thing in screwed up my PCs boot
  2. So my friend has a corrupted windows installation on his hard drive and he is unable to format it with a windows USB installer, so being the nice friend I am I offered to format his drive on my PC. I figured I'd just have to plug it in and format it in windows, however I am unable to boot onto windows even if the problem drive is removed, I went into the BIOS and set my boot drive as booting option #1 and even went into the boot menu to force it to use my SSD however it still gives me the old "reboot and select proper boot device" error. Wat do
  3. So it's a dead drive? damn well thanks for letting me know so that i don't waste my time trying to fix it.
  4. My brand new internal hdd worked for about a day when I began to get errors about not enough disk space from steam when installing games, so I restarted my pc and the drive disappeared, when I opened up disk management it says that the drive only has 3.86gb of storage and when I try to initialize it, it says "The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error." I tried swapping out sata cables and using a different sata port but nothing has worked pls help.
  5. So my friend and I found this weird thing on google.......Does anyone have any explanation? I don't think butter has anything to do with storage size.
  6. Ehh I've been on amd for years and I want to see what team blue has to offer
  7. That one actually looks much better for like $20 i think i actually am probably going to get that one instead Where I live the 8700k is in low supply and very difficult to find at a normal price and the 7820x costs twice as much, hard to find under $600
  8. I am planning a system upgrade and I decided to get the i7 7800x, i also need to get a new mobo so I found this Gigabyte board (https://m.newegg.com/products/N82E16813145033) but when it lists the CPUs it's compatible with it only mentions the i7 7740x and the i5 7640x will it still work with the i7 7800x?
  9. I have heard that Ryzen has ram problems and will sometimes fail to boot with certain ram
  10. The one that Fardin suggested comes with a wifi card free (https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813145037&cm_re=z370_aorus-_-13-145-037-_-Product)
