Ya, I know. I'm upgrading to a 1080ti for the new build. I figured I might as well go ahead and install it so that the few games it does run over 60 can get over 60.

Good to know the advantages aren't really that big or really needed for me (I'd prefer wifi because I'll be using it until I move, which then I'd go hardwire, but one wire should be plenty it would seem).

Thank you guys. I think I'm going to go with the Noctua NH-D15 (you are right, it has changed, though I'm not sure how, I'll do some research). The reason is that the NH-D15 should easily last 7-8 years without any worries, and even if a fan dies it's much cheaper and easier to replace. On top of that the real cost is lower, only 90 bucks, vs the 150 of the H100i V2 (110 base + 2 fans @ 20ish dollars).

Everyone seems to say the performance difference is non existent, and if anything the air will be more quiet because it simply won't have as many things generating sound (both will have two fans, aio will have pump in addition).

Didn't know the FTW3 had RGB. Given that is most likely the reason it's more expensive, I can throw it out the window for my future build (I will have a completely closed case). Thank you for that info.

I currently do have a system, an old 2500k. I suppose I could test some of the basics like the monitor, gpu, and SSD.
