  1. Hi guys I'm looking to buy a new cooler for my Ryzen 5 1600 I'm not sure if I should get an air cooler or AIO but I think an air cooler would be better value So, with a budget of 40 euros, what would be the best cooler with priorities being 1. cooling, 2. noise, 3.aesthetics I want the best cooling for under 40 euros and ideally the cooler would be quieter under load than the stock wraith spire cooler. My build is black with red accents (thanks to my motherboard mostly), so that would be nice. I've considered a few: Hyper 212 evo, arctic freezer 33 and the Gelid phantom black, which appears to be a very good cooler but it does not fit my build in terms of aesthetics. Are there any better options in terms of noise/cooling than the Gelid? https://tweakers.net/pricewatch/887315/gelid-solutions-phantom-black.html Thanks for your advice
  2. That seems like a very good option, thanks
  3. True, but (sorry if I'm being annoying) I don't really like the look of that case, especially from the inside. The drive cage is in a weird position and it doesn't have a PSU shroud to cover anything. It does tick all of the other boxes so it might be a good option, thanks
  4. Hi guys I'm looking for a new case I want something for under 60 euros, with ample space for an ATX motherboard with a full size videocard, a larger air cooler or 240m AIO, 2 3.5" HDDs and a 2.5" SSD. I'd like for it to have a PSU shroud, a (glass) side panel and most importantly good looks and airflow. I know people will say to do my research myself but I've been looking at cases for days now, but I can't decide. Thanks for your advice Edit: a 5.25" bay for my DVD drive would be very nice
  5. I've never had this issue but one of these might be the cause of your problem. 1. It may be a setting in your monitor you can change 2. It might be a bad display cable or it's just not connected well. 3. It might just be that your PC is overheating
  6. Hi guys My friend gave me an older keyboard (HP) that I really like typing and gaming on. It has quite a few extra buttons (open browser,play/pause music, email, etc.), but only the volume knob and the standby button work. I think it's because it's an older keyboard. There are also no windows 10 drivers for it, but I know there is a program that lets you assign functions/macros to these keys, but I just can't remember what it's called or find it. Do you have any suggestions?
  7. A completely different question. I have a very old PC case (from 1998) that I got from my uncle as my first PC about 10 years ago, but everything inside is dead now, because it was in the rain outside one time when we were cleaning the house. I want to revive it and build my current PC inside of it, but I don' t know what to do about the cooling. It's the same size as the case I have now (give or take an inch of length). It only has one 80mm fan in the back and place for one in the front, but the front doesn't let much air through. Should I put an AIO in it or cut it up a little bit in the back and frontbottom to allow for bigger fans and a Hyper 212? Will put up pictures in a few minutes
  8. The Phanteks case looks awesome thanks
  9. I want better cooling basically
  10. I really don't want to spend over 55 or 60 euros for a case but if there's a very good one for 70 or so that would be OK. I like all sorts of cases, whether they be blocky and industrial looking or flashy with RGB. I would like a side panel window or tempered glass. I also want it to be pretty big, bigger than a VG4W anyway. For the cooler, yes I'm using the Wraith Spire, but I'd like something quieter and much cooler (gets up to about 75C at 3.8Ghz now), and I think an AIO like the masterliquid 240 from Cooler Master looks pretty cool and it's about 60 euros. Would you recommend a budget watercooler?
  11. Hi guys. Quick question. I want to buy a new case for under 70 Euros because my current one is small and not well built (Sharkoon VG4-W, about 38Liters of volume). I also want to buy a new cooler for my Ryzen 5 1600 (under 60 euros), but I just don't know what I should get. I need the case to be able to fit a full ATX motherboard, a big videocard (an XFX 7970), 2 3.5" and 2 2.5" drives.I also need it to be able to fit an air cooler or a 240mm radiator because I'm going to upgrade my CPU cooler. A 5.25" drive bay would be nice but I know those are very rare these days. Now I know I could look at a list online, but there are just so many options for cases and coolers, I just can't figure out what to get. Thanks in advance for your recommendations.
  12. Hi guys My Windows got corrupted for some reason (bad update I guess) so I was forced to delete everything on my C drive, and now I have to reinstall some programs which is fine, but GTA 5 is on a different drive, and when I put in the disc I don't get an option to repair or even reinstall. I backed up some files from my C drive before reinstalling windows on it, one of them was Rockstar Games map (that goes in Program Files x86 I believe) so I tried to just run it like that, and it seemed to work (got a new update and everything) but then I got an error saying I ticked the remember me box on my account for this GTA key on my old windows install, so now I can't play the game. Should I just delete all files? And if I do that, how will I get my account back? Please help. Thanks.
  13. XFX DD It stays under 75 degrees Celsius I even tried locking fps to 30 but it doesn't work. It still shuts off
  14. Hi guys. Whenever I play Assetto Corsa, my PC shuts off after about 2 minutes. My specs are a R5 1600, HD 7970 Ghz, Corsair TX650M Gold Asus Prime B350 plus I can't figure out any reason why it would do that. Any advice would be appreciated.
  15. My temperatures are all in order so don't think that's the problem. Thanks anyway.
  16. Hi people. My PC has been shutting off after gaming for a while with no warning. Everytime this happens I have to turn the PSU off and then on again, otherwise the PC won't turn back on. Specs: R5 1600, Corsair TX650M, HD 7970 Ghz, ASUS Prime B350 Plus I checked my Windows log and it says (for all the times it has shut off ever) Source: Kernel Power Id: 41 Level: Critical Task category: 63 Please someone help me. I have had this problem with this PC ever since I built it just over a year ago. I tried everything I could. I replaced my VS650 with a TX650M and I replaced my old GTX 580 (because it died) with a 7970 Ghz edition. ANY advice or information you have is very much appreciated. 17. I really really hope it's not my motherboard or CPU since not even the local PC shops have Ryzen systems to test with so that would super suck
  18. I'm pretty sure I have enough power. My PSU is a new 650W 80 plus gold unit from Corsair and according to benchmarks a system with a very power hungry chip like an old i7 extreme edition and a GHZ edition 7970 shouldn't be consuming more than about 500W under full synthetic load. Also, my Ryzen 5 1600 is very mildly overclocked to 3.5GHZ on a B350 Asus prime board. Honestly I don't know what could be the cause of my issue
  19. Hi there I don't think H110 chipset was meant for kaby lake (7xxx CPUs) I'm pretty sure that's your problem
  20. Hi guys. So a while back I upgraded from my dying, now dead GTX580 to a 7970 because the PC kept turning itself off during GTA 5 and some other games. The problem was identified by a PC shop to be my VS650 PSU, which I then upgraded to a TX650M, but the problem still persists. My PC still randomly shuts off with no warning and it's driving me crazy. Could it be my 7970 this time? Please help.
  21. Well obviously, but I don't know anything else about it. I was only asking for possible reasons it doesn't work.
  22. Hi guys. So I have this R9 290 reference card that is definetely broken. When I turn my PC on with it installed, it turns on for a split second, then turns off. I know the GPU is the problem here because it has been tested in other otherwise working PCs. If any of you know what could be the problem and how to fix it, please tell me. Thanks for your advice.
  23. Hi guys. Weird question but I have had trouble with my PC turning off during GTA v for a long time now and no fix has worked. I even upgraded my PSU. But today I read on a Steam discussion from a few years ago that if I turned tessellation in GTA to normal or off my problem would be resolved. I couldn't believe it at first but it is true, I was able to play GTA for the first time since I got my 7970 (old card I know but it was an upgrade from my GTX580) without the PC powering down completely. Now, I have this powering down issue in Crash Bandicoot Nsane Trilogy aswell but I don't think there is a tessellation setting for that game. What should I do? Any advice is appreciated
  24. I'm sorry but I didn't get any replies so I reposted.
