Hi guys I'm planning a new build for a friend, but his budget is really really small Under a €100 (his family isn't very rich and he's saving up for his driving licence) There's a really nice 2nd hand shop near me and a guy I know who works there can hook me up with either an i7 860 with a board for €15 or an i5 2400 full system with 4GB RAM for €60 I have a 460W PSU from on older HP machine with a 6 pin connector and a case and 4GB DDR3 laying around, and we can get 4 more GB for €5. I don't know what PSU the other system has but it should be fine and I have the other one for him anyway. So what would be better? An i5 2400 for €65 or an i7 860 for €20? And how fast of a graphics card should I get for him? I thought of r9 280X or 7970 but those require lots of power. Would an old 460W from Delta be able to power those and a HDD? Or should I get a GTX960? Will that be fast enough for eSports titles and such in the coming 2 years or so? Will the VRAM be a big issue? Or do you have any other GPU suggestions? Sorry for the long post but I want my friend to have the best rig he can for the little money he has. Thanks for your advice

Hi guys What would be a good cooler for the 3700x? Would something like an Arctic freezer 34 esports duo or CoolerMaster MasterLiquid Lite 240 RGB be enough to keep it cool and quiet?

I plug the SSD in I get the splash screen, it goes to verifying DMI pool data, then it says insert system disk and press enter I already tried changing the order in the boot menu ( I had to go and borrow my friend's PS/2 keyboard or it wouldn't even work) and it still didn't work

Hi Guys My friend asked me to backup his old hdd for him, and it gas windows XP on it so I thought I'd use it on my X58 system It works, but it automatically boots. It asks me to sign in, so I do. (there's only one user registered). When I sign in, it tells me I have to activate Windows. I can't do anything else. I get the activation window with 3 options: Turn off system Activate via internet Activate via phone I tried the phone method and it doesn't work. I tried the internet method and it can't establish a connection. I'm using a wifi adapter but even so I don't get any option to connect to wifi. I thought it would be a good idea to start in safe mode, but I can't get into safe mode. It says I need to use a proxy server but I have no idea how Please help me What should I do? I just want to play some old games :/

Hi guys I just bought a GTX 1070Ti and I'm going to play some games with my friend. He has a 4k TV so we're going to use that. I was just wondering though, how can I run games at 4K on my 1080p screen? I want to do this so I don't have to spend time playing around with the settings over at my friend's house, and I don't have a 4K display. Sorry if this is a dumb question but I was just wondering

I just have a dell kb and a generic one No bios switches and only usb 2 on the mobo I tried all ports
-

I already tried the other ports F12 is boot menu, correct. I can get into boot menu but I can't move around in the boot menu (or click enter when I get the error I mentioned for that matter) My SATA SSD has a + next to it so I think the board is seeing it but I can't select because the keyboard won't work What should I do?

Hi guys I just got a Gigabyte X58 ud4p board with an i7 920 When I turn it on, I see the splash screen (gigabyte logo and stuff), and then it does something and says "disk boot failure insert boot disk and press enter" I press enter but nothing happens I tried booting with a Windows 10 SSD and a Windows Vista hdd Both got that message I can't seem to get into the bios to change boot priority (maybe I just don't know how on an old x58 board) How can I fix this problem?

The gpus say they're new though Are they not? These are not warehouse deals as far as I can work out but I have almost no experience with Amazon so I might be wrong
-
Are all the links I put in my post warehouse items?
-
Hi guys So I found some great deals on videocards on Amazon.de (which I use because I live in the Netherlands) Would you trust any of these? A new GTX 1080 for 220 or a new 1080Ti for 330? I have only once ordered something off Amazon and it was fine, but I've also heard some bad stories. Here are the links: https://www.amazon.de/GeForce-Grafikkarte-NVIDIA-Base-Takt-Boost-Takt/dp/B06XXVVQYH/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8 https://www.amazon.de/Zotac-GeForce-Grafikkarte-Base-Takt-Boost-Takt/dp/B01NCVICRY/ref=sr_1_11?__mk_nl_NL=ÅMÅŽÕÑ&keywords=1080ti&qid=1563905289&s=computers&sr=1-11 There are 3 companies selling these for such low prices, but I can't really find anything about one of them (uplink I think) and the others seem pretty good, though a few reviews say they were really bad. I really don't know. Do you guys think these are trustworthy? If you've seen my previous posts, I wanted to buy a gpu secondhand, but all 4 of my leads decided to either ignore my texts eventhough we had agreed on a price or they were already sold. One of them even told me to come get it, which I did, and then he decided to ignore me.

Are they really that close in performance?

Because?

Hi guys Should I buy a 1070Ti evga sc for 220 euros or a 1080 Gigabyte G1 gaming for 250? The 1070Ti still has warranty but the 1080 doesn't Which one would be better value?
-
A 1080 for over 1.5x the price is better than a vega 56? According to Hardware Unboxed's video from april this year, the 1080 is about 15% faster on average than the vega 56 while being a bit more efficient Are you saying this based on performance or concerns regarding my PSU?
