  1. I'm wondering how much they are going to be able to use the space as a playground for tech like this. When Dan was going over the Audio system I instantly though of Q-Sys from QSC being perfect at least as a main DSP as everything is over the network. They don't have much for PoE or direct network speakers but It works seamlessly with Dante so any equipment they already have would work. RDL also has a bunch of Dante wall plates for things like Bluetooth and local line in and out they could place anywhere of put in throwable boxes they can lay out for the LAN party to hook up a stage.
  2. Linus should look at Christie digital projectors for the gamer experience. 40,000 ANSI Lumens 5,000:1 On/Off* Contrast ratio 24-120Hz standard | Optional 240-480Hz @ 2K scaled plus they are already water cooled https://www.christiedigital.com/products/projectors/all-projectors/4K40-RGB-series/mirage-4k40-rgb/overview I have used their products in the past and the input lag even using a pixel processor and the remote fiber transmitters is really low.
  3. USA, and those don't matter as it would severely limit what is available.
  4. Warranty void stickers mean nothing if you are in the USA https://ifixit.org/blog/11748/warranty-stickers-are-illegal/
  5. So I am looking to replace the laptop I got in 2013 (Macbook Pro) I no longer need OSX and if I do that laptop is more than capable of doing what I'd need in OSX. What I am looking for is its replacement as my daily travel laptop. Also in the short term it will be my main computer as I am temporarily moving overseas and taking my PC with me is going to be way too complicated. Besides gaming while I'm living over seas this wont see much gaming use unless I'm traveling for work so if I just need to plan on an eGPU case for my existing 2017 that's fine. I would also like it to be VR capable in the end as I would like to take my rift with me when I move. I have been looking at the following Razer Blade Advanced (2060 or the 2070 Max-Q) MSI GS65 (2060 or the 2070 Max-Q) I also considered the Asus Zephyrus GX531 but they keyboard position and track pad do not seem the best for something I intend to use while traveling. I am open to suggestions and reviews of other laptops but my main considerations for a new laptop are Portable (This will live in a currier bad or rolling laptop bag) 15" ish screen (the overall laptop width cant really be bigger than 15 inches to fit my bag) VR capable (with eGPU if thats the only option to fit other needs) 16GB RAM Will last me a while. $2500 is what I'm setting as a goal since it's about what the macbook its replacing cost in 2013
  6. Moving to work on Super Nintendo World for a bit Yeah Looking at what prices have been for good gaming laptops 1.5 to 2k seems to be the range. It may just come down to If I need to save some money. There's always black Friday and cyber Monday to get some hardware.
  7. Hello all, So recently I have been looking into upgrading some of my PC or most of it but I have a little but of a dilemma. In February I will be relocating for a year to Japan and will need to ship anything I will want/need there. I am not worried about shipping I know some prep will be needed if I ship an entire computer (probably best to ship in pieces) but I'll handle that when the time comes. What I'm looking at is either upgrading the parts I have now even once I get to Japan, or getting a gaming laptop for while I am over there then reselling it to upgrade my PC when I get back. I know I'll probably want to sell any laptop I use as It wouldn't get much use after upgrading my main PC. Right now I have an AMD build with a FX8350, Asus 990FX R2, GTX1070, and 16GB of Corsair vengeance RAM Which is fine besides the issues the Mobo has. I am looking at something like this but nothing is final I haven't really looked far into what I would want to upgrade to besides going to Intel. https://pcpartpicker.com/user/bgsteiner/saved/YYmnnQ I am looking to get some input on what the best possible way to go would be and if there is anything I am missing in choosing the path to go down. In regards to rebuilding my current PC now or in Japan, or getting a gaming laptop.
