  1. Hello So, I'm not that terribly good with network tbh, but I do know a little bit. Currently, I live in the "basement" of a house, it's a fully furnished apartment, and my internet is straight from the landlords above. So, it goes like this, Fiber goes in to landlord on the floor above. From there, it goes by wifi to a wireless transmittor, which transmits to a reciever on my floor, on the other side of a wall (cannot access it directly.) From there, we get our wifi, which is shit. Another connection goes from landlords router, via their wifi to a repeater in my living room, which I have then pulled a cable from to my PC. Absolute shit in every way, I get massive pingspikes sometimes, 10%+ packet loss and all that fun stuff. They do not want to drill, they say they've looked in to other cable runs, but no go, so no direct cable from their router basically. How do I solve this? Honestly, I'd have to move if this keeps on.
  2. damn, you were right, it didn't have a drive letter. It's pretty damn empty now, no idea what could've happened to it, but it exists again atleast
  3. Hello So, I have 3 SSDs and 1 HDD in my pc.One SSD for bootdrive, two for games, and the HDD for masstorage and documents like resumes and shit that I'd like to save. HDD is not old, like one year max, 1TB. 2 days ago, no issues, I could watch my 100% legally obtained movies (don't question it) and all that, but yesterday it just straight up disappeared from my file explorer. It still exists in BIOS and in diskmanager, no issues there, but it's just gone. I don't know where to start looking even xd
  4. Hi! So I'm currently at a friends place, and he has some troubles with his drives. He has 3 drives in total, 1 1TB SSD, 1 250GB SSD and 1 1TB HDD. Windows was installed on the 1TB SSD, the 250gb was filled with games, and the HDD was basically empty. For some reasons, his taskmanager showed him that the C: drive was the HDD, eventhough in the "My Computer", it showed the C: as the 1TB SSD. I disabled the HDD in the bios, but then windows was complaining about a missing bootloader, so I said fuck it and was going to do a fresh install of windows on the SSD. First, all drives got listed in the windows install menue, couldn't figure out which was which as it only showed sizes instead of what drive it was, so I shut down the system, and physically unplugged the 2 drives that we did not want to touch. Now the Windows install menue is STILL showing all the drives, even though they are 100% physically unplugged from the system. I'm at a loss here folks, halp
  5. Hi! So, I'm not totally clueless in networking, but I'm far from good with it. So, a friend from the states explained an issue to me today. Apparently, he has a limited amount data on his home wifi (is that an actual thing??), so when we play, he usually uses his phone as a hotspot via USB to actually be able to play. It's working pretty fine in general, but his phone can often run out of data as well. So, his question was basically, can he "split" the useage of internet between programs in windows 10? I'm assuming it's no from the get go, but shouldn't it technically be possible through a VM? I'm kinda lost halp
  6. Sorry for the late response, busy week! It's a Corsair K68! Bought it just last week, and I kinda love it!
  7. Yo! So, I know this isn't a "modern" issue, but hope I can find some help anyways. I'm not very old, I grew up during the xbox and xbox 360 days, so there were obviously massive amounts of xbox played. My xbox 360 got stolen a while back, and lately I've been struck with Halo nostalgia. I went online, found an xbox 360 for a decent price on craigslist, got delivered and started up without a hitch, but any time I insert a disc (Legit purchased discs from 2008-2010), I get slapped with the "To play this disc, put it in a XBOX 360 console..." From my limited understanding of consoles, chipping them is very popular, and that might be the case here, but there is no way for me to know atm. But that should still not affect my ability to play my old discs, right? halp
  8. As it says in the first text, everything is greyed out and unclickable except Open, Explore, Properties and Help.
  9. That is correct I see them both in Disc manager, and both show up in the BIOS, not sure how to check it further than that
  10. Doesn't show up there It's not empty, it shows up in the BIOS as a full USB drive, but it's just corrupted AF Also have another drive, identical, but that one is missing a boot loader ?? Also not able to format I'm not having a good time lol
  11. Hi! So, a year ago or so, I got my LEGIT Win 10 key, with a Win 10 USB with it, but that has since become corrupt (not sure how that happened tbh, only used it once). I want to format it and flash it with windows again, as I have a PC waiting for an OS in my hallway, but I can't format it for some reason. I'm in the discmanager, as normal, this isn't the first disc I've formatted, but everything is greyed out on that drive except Open, Explore, Properties and Help. I'd rather not go find another USB drive as all the ones I have are kinda busy atm, anyone know what the heck is up? Can also add that it's only that drive I'm having issues with, all other drives in my system can be formatted and all that
