  1. Stock trading, works really well so far. Gonna get "a real job" after I am done with college in June.
  2. OK so the pump is out of the way and so seems the corrosion, so back to fans for another round! The thing is if I were to go 280mm rad front then the silent wings 3 only give 1.08 in static pressure which is a lot lower than the 120mm ones that have 1.79 as you pointed out. It would seem that Noctua still rocks the league, even with their colour preference. It hit me though that it doesn't have to be an issue since you won't see them in the front and in the top i might just colour the sides and have them in a pull config, that way i won't see the fans. You don't happen to know what RPM/Static pressure is recommended for a 16 FPI rad? Yet again thanks alot for the help! If there is anything you come to think of then please let me know!
  3. Thanks for a quick response! Regarding the fans it says that their static pressure (1.08 if I'm not wrong) is ok for rads but I don't know up to what FPI. Will take a closer look at the noctuas then and compare, other have said similar things but the colour is... sheesh I saw EKWBs config and it seemed great but currently on the phone so couldn't use it but it's great! to hear! From what I gathered the 360 would be overkill but it's nice to have some headroom ^^ Regarding the blocks I took an ordinary nickel block for the gpu (chose the 1080 founders since that seemed to be the easiest choice), for the cpu I took an EK Supremacy EVO- Gold and lastly the rads were NexXxoS ST30 full copper and the other its 360mm counterpart (alphacool). This was however only parts I took because they seemed to be recommended (and I liked the gold part on the block for the cpu). I saw that you mentioned the pump too and that you chose another, what's the bigger difference between the two? Sorry for the follow up questions, just really want to get this right and looking good
  4. Hi, This is my first post here so if I am breaking any forum rules please feel free to point it out, I have read the CoC but mistakes do happen! I'm currently an owner of the Evolv ATX TG case and I'm planning on doing a water cooled build in it, as it is now I only have AIO solutions for the gpu and cpu. As I'm studying at uni, time is scarse so this is a bit in the future and I know things will change but I'd like to get an idea what I'm looking for! ^^ My specs are: Corsair Hydro H110i V2 CPU-cooler Corsair Vengeance LPX Black 16GB Intel Core i7-7700K - 8 threads / 4.2GHz (planning to overlock just a little so please keep that in mind) MSI GeForce GTX 1080 SEA HAWK X (probably going to sell this to a friend and buy another card, which would be nice to overclock a tad) MSI Z270 KRAIT GAMING (bought from a friend and will probably change due to colour scheme) WD SSD Blue 250GB 2x WD HDD BLUE 1TB EVGA PowerSupply (PSU) Gold 850W Modular I've never done anything like this before but I would really like to try. I have googled around a bit but haven't found all the answers I needed and it is always comforting to know that someone that knows their stuff has listened to your idea before you try to execute it. ^^ So before I get going, a few basics. a) I'm gonna do a soft tube solution, starting with hard tubing felt a bit too hard for me... b) I do know of some of the problems the Evolv has with water cooling, especially the top but I've addressed this by modding the top so it is now alot more open and is filtered as well. Problems: 1. Radiators. I have read up a bit on FPI and gotten a rough idea on how it works but need to work some things out. i'm looking to buy the radiators from Alphacool (since they have more out/inlets making me able to go in on one side and out the other) and the ones I've looked at have an FPI of about 16. There are two main problems I need help with. a) I currently have Silent Wings 3 low RPM PWM fans as radiator fans and they seem to be doing fine, would these work on 16 FPI or where is the limit for them to still be functional? In addition, are there any other fans that you would recommend I take a look at that are still very silent and better? (have taken a look at noctua etc but would still like to know) b) I was hoping to mount a slim (30mm) 360 radiator top and a slim (30mm) 280 radiator front (not moving the HDDs) but for the love of me I can't figure out if this works natively or not as some people say they have modded and some said they didn't (the manual isn't that helpful either), If you have any recommendations on radiator placement, type of radiators or anything in general I'd appreciate it (with little or no modding preferably). c) The blocks for the gpu are probably gonna be nickel (as far as I know this is mainly more about looks than performance) but some rads are copper. This doesn't seem to be an issue but if I throw in gold will there be? 2. Pump. a) I have looked around but the pump still eludes me.. I would like to have a res/pump combo that's silent and as it stands now I'm buying it from EKWB and it's a EK-XRES 100 SPC-60 MX PWM (incl. pump), is this a good idea or are there better alternatives? It says it's "value oriented" so I guess there is but I have no idea what to look for since I can't find what is important, all I know is that I want it to be silent 3. General. If there are any general things you would like to add or comment on please feel free, I'm eager to hear! Lastly, I would like to apologize for any errors in my spelling, I'm from Sweden so I don't speak this language natively! Price is not an issue so please don't hesitate on that part either. Thank you in advance for your help! PLJ
