  1. Basically means updating your bios - by downloading BIOS firmware form motherboard manufacturer - putting on a USB and formatting to FAT32 - go into bios and update!
  2. Corsair Vengeance 16GB 2x8gb (2666MHZ stock) - overclocked to 3000MHZ (well 2933)
  3. Seems solid - only thing is would it be okay to use my current 16gb kit @ 3000mhz with this memory aswell or should I just stick to the 32gb set?
  4. also i forgot to say - i Need a good monitor aswell - hopefully 144hz and IPS - sorry
  5. shit sorry - gaming - i play COD mw and some old call of dutys, the witcher, cs (standard), coding (eclipse - java), basic picture editing on photoshop and lightroom and work (word, excel)
  6. I've never been into the high-end mix of pc parts - mostly the mid-range (r5 1600, 1060 blah blah). But im looking to make a £2500 pc build (MAX - lower is better). I've got a couple parts i'll keep from my current pc - 1tb wd blue harddrive, 1tb intel 660p m.2. nvme, adata su800 128gb ssd, fractal design define s case, and 16gb ram at 3000mhz(can add more). Could you please help me create a build list, thanks.

  8. I currently have a ryzen 1600, gtx 1060 6gb, 16gb ram(2x8gb), but I ALSO have a wireless pcie card (https://www.amazon.co.uk/T6E-Archer-Wireless-Interface-Low-Profile/dp/B013HCNTZU/ref=sr_1_9?keywords=wireless+card+pcie&qid=1577485582&s=computers&sr=1-9). So i was wondering do I have enough PCIE lanes to install this (https://www.amazon.co.uk/Intel-M-2-2280-Express-Solid-State/dp/B07JBQZ2MG/ref=asc_df_B07JBQZ2MG/?tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=310818960639&hvpos=1o2&hvnetw=g&hvrand=8121906008160351334&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=1006867&hvtargid=pla-679165116227&psc=1&th=1&psc=1) - intel 660p 1tb m.2. nvme. Because apparently r5 1600 has 20 pcie lanes, gpu takes 16, and wireless card takes some, so there wont be 4 for the nvme m.2.???
  9. The CPU will not need a driver installed; There are no drivers for the motherboard and the current bios on the board will support the CPU - you just have to install windows; Most things are plug and play - you can identify and upgrade certain drivers yourself or use a programme such as driver booster to do it for you (however there are some *issues* with that programme that people have had) . The SSD should be fine, no formatting should be required. Feel free to ask more questions if I haven't cleared anything up..
  10. No I havent - funny thing is it happened straight after my brother did driver updates on driver booster - since then i have reinstalled most drivers properly myself... ?
