  1. Do you have 2 monitors? , Its known to be a problem with gsync, have you turned vsync on nvcp? , its meant to have gsync on + vsync on nvcp to use gsync at 100%. I have problems with refresh rate syncing with the secondary monitor, so maybe your games are tuning to 60hz and because of that gsync tunes down to 60fps? , if so just put the acer alone and try, if not sorry for bother ;D
  2. Just a few little thingy things, If you spend 100-150 euros on a rx 480 8gb and put those PSU I bet your computer woudnt last more than 1 year (if so!) The psu is the heart of the computer, If your psu fails(and those are likely to fail) you will be purchasing something more than another PSU for sure. I had a 80+ 800w psu for 80 euros that lasted me 2 days, Its not about wattage or brand, Its about quality and reliability. You are cheaping on a PSU just take to another approach, I allways tell the same, My psu is a 650w evga p2 that cost me 130 euros. You can say that is expensive for a 650w psu, well 10 years of warranty keeps me at 13 euros per year with one of the best psu's? 10 years are a lot of years, I'm 29 and would be almost 40 when my warranty expires (yay for that money I wouldnt worry more for a psu in my life ) I had a 2500k with a rx480 8gb, with 2 different psu's, both awful (bought from a local store) It took one motherboard an 1 stick of ram to the bin. Well it where 3 psu's but one lasted me less than 24h (I wont return to that store). This is my psu vs a cheap psu (its for gaming but its like 40-50 euros from 500 to 800w brand new, if someone wants nightmares research about tacens psu's) Both can be the same wattage, but anyone can see the difference in quality, and every part of your computer is feeded by the psu.
  3. Low price : Hyper 212 around (30-35$) Best performance for oc (air) : Noctua nhd15 SE AM4 (around 90-100$) its like a 240L even a 360L AIO water cooler.
  4. The cooler need to have an adapter for sure , if its compatible. That happened to me (those I want a 2080ti build), tell to your costumer that the difference between a 2080 and a 2080ti its noticiable when you buy a good monitor, everyone wants the best setup and pick the best gpu & cpu, but if its for gaming a high refresh monitor is faaaar better than switching from a 2080 to a 2080ti, even a 2060 to a 2080ti. Its better to expend less on a gpu and pick a 144hz 1440p gsync monitor( IF ITS FOR GAMING).
  5. Depends on the manufacturer (6 or 8 pin) , a 2060 its like a 1070 if you want to calculate. Dont worry about bottlenecks, I played with a 2500k+ rx480 8gb and saw an amd 6100 running with that. Just control your cpu usage while gaming, If its at 100% you are bottlenecked and you will stutter on games, but there is a way to counter that, Just limit your fps , play at more resolution or put your graphic at max If you came from a 1050ti you wont regret that, and you just could buy (if its too hard the bottleneck) a 7600 second hand(With warranty since is not too old).
  6. 8400 or ryzen 2600 , good value for the money.
  7. from china are like 13,5€ https://es.aliexpress.com/item/Wearson-WS-03UP-VESA-Monitor-escritorio-Base-de-montaje-de-inclinaci-n-altura-ajustable-para-13/32842809768.html?spm=a219c.12010108.1000013.5.44435cf2OlH63n&pvid=82b8ec63-9b6d-455e-9c5f-0d63e0cf9d7e&gps-id=pcDetailBottomMoreThisSeller&scm=1007.13339.90158.0&scm-url=1007.13339.90158.0&scm_id=1007.13339.90158.0 and this one is cheaper https://es.aliexpress.com/store/product/14-24LCD-Desktop-Stand-Standard-Bracket-for-Universal-10-24-inch-LCD-Monitor-VESA-Bracket-PC/622983_32808802345.html?spm=a219c.search0104.3.213.41594f06wQzjAs&ws_ab_test=searchweb0_0,searchweb201602_7_10065_10068_10547_319_10891_317_10548_10696_10084_453_454_10083_10618_10307_10820_10821_10301_10303_537_536_10902_10059_10884_10887_321_322_10103-10891,searchweb201603_51,ppcSwitch_0&algo_expid=72583e46-76ee-4e34-ac5a-2f9421d67f1f-30&algo_pvid=72583e46-76ee-4e34-ac5a-2f9421d67f1f&transAbTest=ae803_4
  8. main display (1 on windows ) : 165 1440p via 1070 dp secondary : 60hz 1080p . now its via igpu hdmi
  9. disable xmp, enabling xmp on my pc crashed me pubg (those days) like crazy.
  10. I've played with a 2500k + 480 8gb and it run perfect, some high cpu usage but nothing extreme , without oc its fine .
  11. If its a good psu you can do any of those gpus without problem, I had a 2500k + rx 480 8gb , then I switched to a 4790k + 1070, then switched my 4790k for a 8600k. The only thing that you should worry on your setup (if psu is fine) is when you gaming + anything on the background keep your cpu usage checked, because those older cpu are good enough to play with a 1070 even a 1080, but with high fps and newer games, your cpu usage will be almost 100% , and 100% cpu usage = stutter.
  12. I would pick a 2060 or a 1060, with a 1060 you will play those games on high at more than 60 fps , with a 2060 if you switch to high refresh rate monitor , or update your cpu you will have a better gpu and with better future, My girlfriend plays with a 1060 apex legends without a problem with a 7500
  13. Anyone who can dig a little bit more of this issue? , Its here since 2012 or more, not yet fixed or "highlighted" , giving 144 + 60 hz setups are more and more common , this can be one hughe ore vein @Crunchy Dragon sorry for bothering you , but since you are a moderator If can you aid us to find any guru on this forum with knowledge of this issue it would be awesome. I think someone with high knowledge of windows10 (or any OS like wendell from level1techs) could figure out this, there are few people talking with microsoft and nvidia but seems they are busy throwing the guilt to eachother.... Its known that bug happen when you have 2 different monitor frequency and try to run any hardware acelerated app(like youtube on any browser), windows desktop manager tells to the first screen that renders at secondary raters (60hz), This happen on win10 and 7 , but you can disable aero on 7 and that solves it but not on 10, and since intel 6gen , going back to win7 will put more problems than fixing Links: Updated Reddit thread on /monitors Up to date Nvidia forum thread Reddit from 4 months ago on /windows10
  14. Possible solutions: 1st pick a 144hz secondary monitor (dont have the money now but it seems that works) 2nd (from reddit) If you don't mind using older drivers, you can use 391.35. That's what I've been stuck on, as anything newer introduces all the issues you've experienced.(I will try this tonight, since I've noticed that some nvidia updates fixed this and then another driver update crashed) 3rd Download nvidia inspector and set main monitor performance to single monitor performance (I think this will be promising and will try tonight). Things that I've done that are useless: lowering monitor to 120hz to be multiple, (even my secondary to 55hz and my main to 165hz didnt solve the issue) Secondary monitor on the igpu. Disabling vsync on nvcp Specs 8600k + 1070, | dell s2417dg 1440p gsync @ 165hz via dp + hp 1080p ips 60hz via hdmi
  15. This bug is caused by windows desktop manager. I've searched for everything related to this issue, the only thing that last me to try (I cant) is to put the 60hz(secondary) monitor via displayport, and check if that solves as windows stated on a update that is because gsync on main monitor + hdmi on second (I dont believe that). https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/949367/geforce-drivers/144hz-60hz-stuttering-can-we-soon-get-a-fix-for-this-/3/
  16. check for deals with aororus , Here in Spain I bought for a friend this pack mobo + 2600 (now its out of promotion but start one with asus) https://www.coolmod.com/asus-prime-x370-pro-plus-amd-ryzen-5-2600x-plus-asus-cerberus-gaming-bundle-precio
  17. Trolling? you dont live in somalia....., https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Logitech-G500-Laser-Gaming-Mouse-910-003924-BRAND-NEW-SEALED/223304277464?epid=13027506217&hash=item33fdf8ddd8:g:9OsAAOSwDYdcKNyz I had a g500 (as everybody it seems) and I didnt like its shape, for my gaming style its a no-no, Had my first razer and the grip (I dont know about sensor) was perfect. Nowadays hating razer for cheap quality but using a deathadder elite and same as the diamondback, razer mice ergonomy > all (for my kind of grip). 1 think im for sure that logitech mice are too "fatty" (high on the palm) for my grip, need to change my mouse (razer plastic wears till the point I see the screws on the bottom ) Dont like razer quality but I think if I quit that form I would be without aim 1 month or 2 maybe XDD
