You could just use an Apple keyboard if you really want.

The only way you will get that level of minimalist perfection is if you put in some back bone and mod some of the stuff you buy. I love minimalism as well and I try my best to get as close as I can to it, but it became painstakingly obvious that I was never going to get that unless I pulled some stickers here or there. Take for example my motherboard, the MSI Z77 MPower motherboard. If you look it up you will find it has plates over the heatsinks on the motherboard that have a yellow sticker on them, I simply just removed those plates using a quick flip of the knife and now I have a 100% black motherboard. 

Also for your keyboard have you tried looking at the Corsair Vengeance K95 instead of the K70? It comes a premium price but it's basically the same price as a Blackwidow. 

Only way you are going to get exactly what you want is if you mod the components.

Many WU's and projects can take a while before any "work" is registered, either by the estimated PPD showing or work completed. 

 

As for options, with Core_17 being a general WU now, you really don't need any options on the GPU or SMP slots. There are a few you can do to tweak how the FAH clients works, but that is for more advance usage and such.

I got a Core_17 protein to fold but my client wont start because it says this.

20:31:09:WU00:FS00:0x17:Temperature control disabled. Requirements: single Nvidia GPU, tmax must be < 110 and twait >= 900

Are there flags that I should put to change the tmax and the twait or is there a setting somewhere else I need to change? Possibly a core option?

EDIT: It seems to have just started on its own. I guess this doesn't apply to me anymore. But I would still like to know how to add core options for future reference. Thanks!
