I found this crazy CPU on dells website while messing around with some friends and i thought you should do a Holy Sh!t on it because its not practical at all and really high end. But what I found was weird was that on the intel ark page about it, they say it can use DDR3 and DDR4 and I wanted to see you try that. Here's a link to Intel ark : https://ark.intel.com/products/96900/Intel-Xeon-Processor-E7-8894-v4-60M-Cache-2_40-GHz?q=Xeon E7-8894

I would upgrade to 16 GB of RAM first. I have 8 GB and it's just enough for gaming but I end up using 70% or more while gaming. Other then that, if your PSU can handle a 1070 then go for that

I need help! I dont get fps by lowering res.
Ghostsquidy replied to iNEEDhelp22's topic in Troubleshooting
Look around in nVidea control panel and make sure that "performance mode" or whatever it's called is on instead of optimise performance. Then uncheck any fps or vsync options in there -
I'm trying to Backup my phone using ADB because I don't want to make a samung account. ADB installer says My S7 is detected as an ADB interface device and my phone has USB debugging enabled and MTP data transfer enabled. All the Samsung USB drivers are installed, BUT, when I enter ADB devices in a CMD or Powershell, nothing happens.

Probably PSU, I would recommend a 450WATT at least

I want to make a backup of my S7 because I haven't done so yet. So I installed the ADB stuff onto my PC and ADBDriverInstaller.exe detected my S7 as OK and working. Dev mode is enabled on my S7 and USB Debugging is enabled. But, when i open up a CMD and enter in "adb devices", nothing shows up. I do NOT want to use Samsung Sync or whatever it's called

Try using any PSU that you KNOW works 100% and then use only the MOBO, PSU, 1 ram stick and CPU (the bare minimum to post) and then gradually add back parts till the problem happens again. Then you can figure out what the problem is. Do this outside of a case so it's easier to look for any problems that you can see and for convenience

Check the programs that start on startup in task manager. Disable anything that's not windows or drivers

(Troubleshooting) My games are freezing up despite my specs
Ghostsquidy replied to themadgadfly's topic in Troubleshooting
I have a simple question but it might be the cause, what settings and what game is this happening? It could just be settings set too high... Otherwise, I've heard of freezing from not having enough VRAM or DRAM. Just trying to narrow things down a bit. -
2.1 speaker setup experiencing static output.
Ghostsquidy replied to G9XFTW's topic in Troubleshooting
Test all the ports and cables with other audio stuff you know works (try headphones in the output, different source to the speaker, different cable to the speaker and so on) go for a trial of elimination to slowly eliminate possible problems so you have a smaller range of stuff to have to think about -
Try the spare power supply first as the zapping sound might be a dead PSU. If that doesn't work then I would try shorting power button pins on the motherboard that connect to the power button with a screwdriver just in case the power button is weird and not connecting right

My system is an Alienware from 2011 so when I installed my GTX 770 that I bought, the PC would just spit out a bios check failure, then when I put my HD6950 back in, it booted perfectly. I'm also perplexed as to why my 770 doesn't let my PC boot
-
The big reason why I want to upgrade to the 1300X is because my PC can not restart so Win10 has downloaded update 1709 6 times and I can't use the new GPU I bought because the motherboard BIOS does not support it
