  1. I play frequently in scotland at section 8 airsoft, alongside Scoutthedoggie, the biggest airsoft youtuber. I met the guy years ago and he introduced me to airsoft, now I cant get enough!
  2. Ok, i've built a few PC's before, but only for myself and my brother. Im gonna be building one for a friend next week, and I thought that it wouldn't hurt to double check by asking the LTT community to check this setup, although i'm pretty confident. Only things i'm unsure of are possibly MoBo BIOS compatibility and physical dimensions. 3. Buying "Limited Edition" copies of games when I played on console (COD MW2:Prestige, BO1:Prestige, etc) *shudder*
  4. In all seriousness, I have had some awful, awful experiences myself with the GF Experience, with certain versions not working, older versions being fine, but the older ones wont start until I update to the newer (broken) version. It just seems to be hit or miss for me, although it's not the useful when it works anyway
  5. Hi guys, im pretty much a complete noob when it comes to audio, I have a decent wireless headset but will need some speakers too for when I get my PG278Q later this year. I'm a heavy gamer, and am willing to spend around £200 on a speaker system (Excluding budget for a sound card). I was looking at models like the Corsair SP2500 which i've heard fairly good thigns about, but dont know if this is untrue or if these opinions are simply outdated. Speaking of sound cards, which should I go for (As a gamer, light music listener etc) ? I have a fairly decent budget for that too Thanks
  6. 1. You are trillions of dollars in debt. 2. Hitler killed himself, if not, the Russians did. 3. You STARTED slavery. 4. Europe is a continent.
  7. My uncle gave me one of his old wallet's from when he was a kid. I was only like 8 years old (The wallet must be around 25-30 years old now) and the design on the front was "N R G" and I thought it was pretty cool. Also a few years later I discovered my love of science and thought it tied in pretty well. Yes, after seeing this thread, I trailed around my house at 1am, much to my parents/brother's dismay to find it, and so here it is:
  8. Unless you plan on adding another GPU, tonnes of peripherals or doing watercooling (i.e pumps and whatnot) then 750W is a bit overkill, especially with the 880's supposedly low(er) power consumption. I would just go with a smaller PSU like the RM550 or RM650 (If you still want the Corsair). I did exactly what you're doing last year, I got the 4770k/Maximus Vi Extreme and waited for the 780Ti, and I regretted getting an 850W simply because it's the middle ground between getting more stuff and just being enough, I could have saved money.
  9. Spartans never die, they're just missing in action R.I.P. to an awesome, awesome guy
  10. I'm liking the look of the new RoG swift monitor, even though I was highly sceptical at first. I think Linus' review earlier has tipped me in that direction over the IPS 4K's i've been looking at. I'm leaning towards it given the WQHD resolution rather than the 1080p of similarly "Fast" monitors, as well as the supposedly decent panel (For a TN, anyway) Thanks for the tip! I never actually thought of this before, and it looks like the swift is gonna be 720 Euros on amazon.es. Let's hope Scotland doesn't go independent before I finish saving and I can afford it
  11. I think i'm gonna wait a few months to see how the market pans out since 4K is still kinda in it's infancy. I will wait and see that ASUS 4K IPS too, as well as look into a second GPU. I don't think a 1440p IPS will wow as much as a 4K IPS, so I think it'll be worth the wait.
  12. Most benchmarks that I have seen for my card seen to suggest that on games like BF4 on Ultra, I will get 36-40 FPS and just under 30 FPS on Crysis 3 on ultra... Obviously I would rather play on medium and get as close to 60 as possible but yeah, I don't think it's as bad as you're making out. Also, I looked at the Dell UP2414Q monitor (I will look into that ASUS 4K IPS too) and I wanted to ask, how long will it be before I can get G-SYNC for those types of monitor?
  13. I probably should have mentioned, I have a 780 Ti, and depending on how much I spend here I may be able to get another. I like the idea of the IPS 1440p monitors, But I feel if i'm going down the "Picture quality over 144Hz/1ms" then shouldn't I go the whole 9 yards so to speak? I mean, should I look at 4k or the 21:9, or is 1440p an effective compromise for now until the issues are sorted?
  14. SO, I've had a kickass gaming PC for almost a year, but only a couple of shitty (And I mean, SHITTY) monitors to go along with it. I want to get a new monitor this year, and my criteria is simply that it will make people say "Wow" I'm a heavy gamer, with only extremely light usage of programmes such as photoshop, sony vegas etc I don't know what to choose, between 4K, 1440p, 21:9, IPS and all these phrases that are thrown around. I just want a monitor that looks amazing, and does what I need it to do. Oh, and my budget is preferably ~£800 (UK) Show me what you got, LTT
