  1. Mainly bought the M.2 for if this fails, I can get a cheap mobo/cpu that has m.2 on it, but thought I would try this as the adapter was like $8.
  2. According to this page on Asus: https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/M5A97_LE_R20/HelpDesk_Download/ the latest is 2701, and I am on 2701.
  3. Long story short, trying to turn one of my old builds into a mild gaming computer to have in my living room. TLDR Version : Skip to the Green Text Below CPU: AMD FX-8350 Motherboard: Asus M5A97 LE R2.0 Ram 32GB (4x8GB 1600hrz) The Issue: I wanted to put an M.2 on the machine to try and make it a bit faster as this will strictly be used a Steam Machine in the living room. Being an old Mobo and such, there is no on board M.2, so I bought this : https://www.amazon.com/GLOTRENDS-PCIe-Adapter-2230-2280-PA05/dp/B079546NPR and installed this hard drive: https://www.amazon.com/Blue-SN550-500GB-NVMe-Internal/dp/B07YFF3JCN/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=WD+Blue+sn550+500gb&qid=1593045473&s=electronics&sr=1-1 (not the best, but ehh) So I slapped it in, and got a message saying it cant see the device. Plugged in my Win10 Install USB, and went do the install anyway. Got a message about it being MBR, and not GPT. Got that squared away with a few DiskPart lines. So now, I was able to Format, make partitions, and install windows. It all worked. Now when I go to boot to it, the bios just says "The current BIOS setting do not fully support the boot device. Click OK to enter Bios setup Go to Advanced > Boot > CSM Parameters, and adjust the CSM (Compatibility Support Module) settings to enable the boot device" No matter what I play with, I am getting no where. Again, within the windows installer, it shows all my partitions, and such and in the Disk Part (via CMD) it shows that my disk is set to GPT. But under BIOS, it wont show my hard drive.
  4. The only servers I feel this will actually affect are ones ran by outdated business and "Small" / poor hospitals. They types of engineer to either google or say something along the lines of: "What do you mean I need to change the admin profile from 'root'?" "I just updated the database password last year. " "Whats the difference between MySQL and MySQLi?"
  5. I dont know about the chairs mentioned above, but I find Executive chairs to be way more comfy than almost any gaming chair on the market. More effort put into comfort and looks and aesthetic.
  6. Sad day, but hey man. thank you so much for the help.
  7. yeah, I was just about to try a vpn Also, yes, I am in the US. Edit: Still no luck with VPN in the UK.
  8. Damn, youre a god. when I click the links they bring me to a 404 page, and i search the model number and it comes up, but when I go to the pages they all say "unavailable" why is hp hiding this so hard
  9. HP - OMEN by HP 24.5" LED FHD Monitor - Black Model Number: Z7Y57A9#ABA
  10. Does anyone have any Idea where I can order a replacment Vesa mount adapter for the 25' HP omen monitors? They come with the monitors, but I seem to have miss placed mine. I can not find them anywhere, and in the manual, it shows what it looks like, and none of the standard HP adapters (from amazon, and HP them selves) seem to be right. Here is a pic from the User manual of what it looks like.
  11. I found out my local hardware store can order custom paints if they don't have it in stock, they also have a paint scanner, where you can bring in either part of your dry wall, a panel, or literally anything and it will find the exact color to match. I plan on bringing in the mouse and having them scan it. Ill let everyone know how it turns out.
  12. So I bought my friend a handful of the Quartz stuff razor put out. Headset, Microphone, Mouse mat, Mouse, and Keyboard. I am helping her upgrade her battle station, and with these new peripherals, I was hoping to paint her case and parts of her desk.. My issue is I want to know if anyone knows any good suggestions on what paint I should use that would match. We are doing a lot of white and pink for this setup. I do not want the paint to look off from the other things, if I cannot find a good match, then I will probably go with a pink that is meant to look different, like a lighter pink. Thankfully most of the quartz stuff is matte, so I don't have to worry about gloss as much. Any suggestions and input is appreciated.
  13. Buying a monitor for my friend who does art stuff, from drawing to photography. I am having troubles finding the perfect monitor for her. I find monitors with one spec but not another, here is a list of things I am looking for: 4K resolution HDR 10 ready AMD Free Sync 3000:1 Contrast 10 Bit Color (Not 8 bit!) IPS panel (anything not TN really) 27-32” Screen Size Im not too concerned with price, but I don’t want to spend more then 800ish, because at that point we would just start looking at TVs.
