Firefox users are left frustrated this evening when a bug meant that almost all of their browser add-ons were disabled

The bug, that’s still ongoing, doesn’t appear to have an immediately obvious cause but it most likely an error involving the expiration of an intermediate signing certificate, as the errors appeared to start kicking in as it became midnight in the GMT time zone.

Something that may help the addons start working again, until Mozilla issue a fix, is to set the system clock back 24 hours.
Another possible fix, which appears to work best for Linux users is the following:
Type: about:config in the address bar and hit enter. Set the option xpinstall.signatures.required to false.

Other than waiting it out, there doesn't seem to be an immediate fix that directly solves the issue.

    There's a temporary workaround:
In the address bar, type in about:debugging Press the "Load Temporary Add On..." button Windows: Go to %APPDATA%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\[profile]\extensions %APPDATA% points to C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming [profile] points to whatever profile you're using in Firefox. If you haven't set up any profiles, there should only be one folder in there Linux/macOS: I'd imagine it's somewhere in ~/.mozilla/Firefox Load up all of the .xpi files in that folder

This could be a bug. It could be user error somehow... like some sort of copy paste issue or add-on conflict or something.  The few other places I've found as I continue to search for news on this... Use this video as their primary source.

I would think if this were a wide spread thing... there would be reports all over the place from many different people.

    You aren't wrong.
Coal... burn it to heat water to make steam to run a steam turbine.
Gasoline... burn it to heat water to make steam to run a steam turbine.
Natural gas... burn it to heat water to make steam to run a steam turbine.
Uranium... fission it to heat water to make steam to run a steam turbine.
Solar... focus it to melt salt to heat water to make steam to run a steam turbine. (other solar methods breakdown chemical bonds to create electricity but do not produce more energy over their life than it took to produce the panels)

So fusion... heat water to make steam to run a steam turbine... But how?
How do you get the heat out of your magnetically contained plasma? (tokamak)
How do you get the heat from your bb sitting at the focal point of 192 lasers (NIF... the only ones who have gotten more energy out than in)
How do you get the heat out of a chamber that you compressed fluid in... with a bunch of pistons?

Actually that last one sounds a lot more plausible than any of the big research reactors have of getting anything working to generate power.  But at each heat transfer step there is an efficiency loss.  Which means they need to get even more energy out of the fusion than was put in to account for those losses. Which makes the whole thing even harder to achieve.

Which is why I like lppfusion.  It's completely different.  And way smaller.
