  1. Hi, so I need to expand my storage with 2TB drive and I can't seem to decide which is better. Should I just get an SSD for around 172-196€ (depending on brand) or should I get Toshibas P300 2TB HDD (new) for 48€ and then in a few years (when/if) SSD's get cheaper, get an SSD for ~130€? Will SSD's get that much cheaper? If they will, then I would rather pick an HDD now just to have the extra storage in the future. I already have 1TB SSD which is not enough, because I have quite a few games (that are played less often, so I would be fine with storing them in HDD and having slower load times) which are 100gb+ each, I also have my phone backups which eats up space. If I should buy an SSD, which one should I pick (do they all have DRAM?): Mushkin Source 2TB sata - 172€ Kingston NV1 2TB m.2 - 180€ Crucial BX500 2TB sata - 186€ Samsung 860 QVO 2TB sata - 193€ Samsung 870 QVO 2TB sata - 196€
  2. So I checked it. Found 0 errors with rams and SSD health is "good".
  3. Ok I will scan/check the SSD and RAM with some tool, I hope it will atleast launch those programs...
  4. Hello, so my friend brought me her a laptop so I could add ram (4gb+4gb) and rewrite Windows. Also, she had a problem with Windows where it wouldn't open some .exe files. So I added the ram, then formatted the disk and did a fresh install of Windows. This is where the problems begin. About 80-90% of installers for example, teamviewer, zoom, utorrent and other programs that install without a single problem on other computers won't open or show NSIS error or some kind of other launch failed error or just show up and immediately close (same problem as my friend previously had). Windows (10) is 64bit, installers too. I tried these things (in sequence from simpliest to more complicated): 1. Run as administrator 2. Troubleshoot (shows that file is incompactible) 3. Disable firewall and antivirus 4. Run through CMD 5. Regedit 6. Safe mode 7. Another fresh install of Windows 8. Check through bios (maybe I didn't notice the setting) 9. Update Windows, add drivers NOTHING helped at all. Laptop is Lenovo L460. If you think that my Windows copy is bad, well you're wrong, used the same one on all other computers and works perfectly fine. Any ideas?
  5. 14", no numpad and I could find many other reasons why not to buy this laptop.
  6. How the f can I get all the models possible? There will be thousands of them. New requirements. All of the above requirements and numpad, I tested out with the person buying it, didn't like that there's no numpad on that dell. Also, the dell was HEAVY. Need to drop that weight to like 1,6-1,7kg if possible, 2,1kg is too much. Also, forgot about SSD, it's a must, HDD sucks af.
  7. http://shopdell.lt/Dell-XPS-15-9570-15F708256N1050T4W?search=xps&page=2 Thank you, found the one.
  8. Hello, I need a laptop. Budget 2200€. It's gonna be used for work, traveling, no streaming, no gaming, no editing. My location is Lithuania. Popular shops: http://www.skytech.lt/ ; https://pigu.lt/lt/ Requirements: Light. Thin. 15,6" screen. Matte screen (this is really important). Not MacBook. Good battery life (would like atleast 7-8h lasting when using outlook, googling and just doing basic stuff, excel and etc.) The lighter, the thinner, the longer lasting battery = better
  9. And if the bios are fckd and I can't fix it, I can just send the card to seller and get my money back.
  10. It has warranty and it's only 90€+shipping so it's a REALLY good deal, atleast here, because they're sold for 150-200€ (used) here.
  11. Hello, I've got a good deal on rx 570 used for 5 months, it was used for mining ofcourse. I asked about the temps and fan speed - 60-62C° ~60-75%. I consider it really not bad. It's a strix version, so even better. My problem is that the seller knows 0 about games and informed me, that the gpu has "mining bios" and he sold one guy this gpu and he tried to install regular drivers (not bios) and he didn't suceed, I wonder, is that because of bios? Can I get the normal bios and is it hard to change the bios? Thanks for the answers!
  12. I mean, the slimmer and the less weight is better. I checked out Dell XPS 15, but it still weights like 2,2kg. I won't use this laptop, I'm choosing this laptop for my mom, she likes not a brick computer types, the better battery, the less weight and the slimmer = the better. The budget is 2200€ TOP.
  13. Hello! I found an craigslist listing for "dead gpu's for cheap", each gpu costs 5€, no matter if it's 680 or a 460. It says "the fans are spinning". Is it worth getting gtx 680 or 7870 and try to use other cables to monitors, heat it up with heat gun or put it in a oven? I would be happy if the gpu would work like atleast 2 months.
  14. Hi, I need a laptop JUST for work, no gaming at all, no editing, no streaming, nothing. Budget - 2200€. Just work. It needs to be: Light. Thin. ATLEAST 15,6" screen. Matte screen. Not macbook. Thanks for the help!
  15. Yes, I have a video recorded if you don't get what is happening.
  16. Hi, so my monitor (Samsung S22A300N) randomly turns off or goes through random settings, opens the settings menu by itself, I don't even touch it. It happens very often. Sometimes every 20seconds, sometimes every 10mins. It's so anoying. I bought this monitor used a year ago, when I was testing it when buying for a few minutes it didn't happen, but when I got back home it was like that. It's in good shape, in the sensors there are no dirt or sth else. What could be wrong and how could I fix it? The monitor costed 60€ so I don't want to bring it to repair shop. Thanks for help.
  17. also when I'm transporting pc I don't EVER take out let's say HDD or a GPU, because it's just too much work and I would not have a safe space to put all the parts somewhere, so I hope the nano s won't fuck up 1080ti. Also, I might just not put any hdd's, because I have 1tb ssd and will try to fit all info in that, but sometimes it's not enough.
  18. Also I'm wondering, how big is the difference between matx and mitx cases? Because I'm 100% sure that matx case will have better cooling, better upgradability paths, it will be quieter also.
  19. It's not the evga's one, It's this one: https://www.gigabyte.com/us/Graphics-Card/GV-N108TGAMINGOC-BLACK-11GD I haven't still considered, Nano S quite big (I think) and besides my gpu, my psu and cpu cooler is quite small and I think would fit a little smaller cases than nano s, but again, I want it to be quiet with sound deadening material and good cable management and I think the nano s only offers that. I will consider it later. Hmmm, that DVD-rom "space" looks stupid for me, I prefeer clean look . Currently I don't have a ruler so I could "compare" the sizes between my PC and this PC, because I don't have a good imagination :). Also, I don't trust Google AR, so that isn't an option either.
  20. Sup, I'm travelling 2 times in a year with my pc, trust me THERE IS NO SPACE FOR ATX CASE 100000000000000000000000%, now when we have that cleared out, we can begin. I have my main rig with atx mobo+1080ti+r5 1600+16gigs of ram in fractal design define s, but it's humungus, so like I said I needed a smaller computer, so I builded a computer with matx mobo+r9 270x+8gb ram+i5-4670 for cheap af. Builded custom case myself, so I could have the smallest case possible for the PC. The temperatures are OK, but it's kinda trippy, sometimes the network card disconects and other shit happens, also while it's enough of perf for some games, but I miss my main rig perf :C. Options: 1. Sell my 2nd pc and rebuild my main rig so it could be smaller, haven't decided if I would choose matx or mitx, I would hapilly choose mitx, but don't want to spend ~120€ for good sfx psu also new cpu cooler and many other shit, because in that conversion, even if I sell my current psu, cooler and some other parts, I would loose a lot of money. 2. Just keep everything as is. I would want to spend on the new mobo and case under 180€ (if X370 mobo, I could maybe add another 20€ to the budget), new cpu cooler (if needed under 40€), don't want to get a new psu (well, if there would be a one under 60-70€ then m a y b e). Want a small, compact case, with decent cooling AND one of the most important things, quietness, just as quiet as fractal design define s if possible . For case - under 80-90€, for mobo 100-130€. So, what are the options? GPU - H=37 L=280 W=114 mm CPU cooler - (L x W x H), (mm) 56.2 x 97 x 124.8 PSU - 150mm Gigabyte 1080ti black edition. pure rock slim or hyper 212 evo (I can use both of those) Evga B3 650w 2x8gb 16gb Asus prime b350-plus SSD MX500 1tb (if possible, I would like to fit in also one 3,5" hdd) I would really like if in future I could add maybe 2 more sticks of ram, but 60% that I won't do that. I'm located in Lithuania, just in case you want to know prices here - skytech.lt
  21. Hello! I'm doing a budget build and my plan is to spend 200€ inc. everything besides compact case. So I did get an R9 270x and it works just fine for 60€ and now I contacted with a seller that sells for 100€ (He agreed on 95€) HP Pro 3500 with an I3-3220, 8gb ddr3 ram and OEM mobo and case and cd-rom, 300w oem psu, 500gb hdd and etc. you know. So I could sell the cd-rom, psu and maybe case for like 10€. Got an reliable 430w bronze rated psu for 38€, so that leaves me with like 15€ for a case, so not a problem, if cpu will not be enough for my use, then I will change it to i5-3***. So now, the main question, will I be able to run that card in that PC? HP limits their prebuilts and It's awfull. Like many people can't run 750ti/HD78*0/HD79*0/R7 ***/R9 ***/RX'es/1060's/1050ti's and many more, but mostly It's AMD cards, somehow the motherboard supports the Nvidia cards better. So you would say just turn off the secure boot, well nope, on old bios there's no option for that, they apparently did a new bios for turning off the Secure boot, but not always it works and I'm not 100% sure if they created new bios. If you watch Tech Yes City you will know what about I'm talking, he did EVERYTHING and did not get it working. Some people can get it to work, some not. The seller said It's okay if I want to do things to get the gpu working as long as he see what I'm doing in his eyes. So is it worth even trying or I just say the GPU won't work on computer so I don't need it? Also will I be able to use HP's ram on another mobo like Gigabyte, because I might just swap a cheap mobo and sell this one, but that will be over my budget, because nobody will buy OEM mobo. Good day to you and sorry for my very poor English language that bleeds many internet users eyes.
  22. Thank you, my first time. Budget traveling PC :).
  23. Hello. I'm planning to do a build with E5450 (I got it already), lga 775 motherboard (P5B-Plus rev 1.0 got that already), RAM (don't have those, I will need to buy later), other hardware doesn't matter. Well my E5450 already came with adapter or whatever it is, but it fits my motherboard. Now the question is, the motherboard supports only DDR2 ram, but the CPU supports only DDR3, also I don't know if it support normal ram DRAM or it needs server ram. Also is it possible to do something with dual channel or not? Also will there be any compactibility issues after the ram issue is resolved one or another way? Will I need to do something? Drop a link, because I don't really know how the progress goes. Thank you and have a nice day .
