  1. Steam Stream and Controller help

I was wondering if anyone here would mind helping me troubleshoot a problem. I have been trying to stream Skyrim SE to my laptop and play it on my tv. My biggest issue is I like playing the game with a controller and when the controller is plugged into my laptop the game does not recognize it. I noticed if I plug the controller into the host PC it works fine though, but I don't have a long enough cable for that to work well. If anyone has any tips or a fix it would be greatly appreciated, preferably a fix without spending any money for extra stuff. Host PC Specs: Win 10 Evga 1070 Ryzen 1500x Laptop: Early 2011 MacBook Pro Radeon 6750M Using an Afterglow 360 controller.
  2. WTF is going on with GPU pricing in 2018?!

To add to what Yurizaki said, even if you are looking only online where are you getting these prices? The only one close was the 1080Ti, but specifically only on the FTW version of it.
  3. I know this type of question gets asked on the forum a lot so I will try and make this simple. My laptop died recently, and while I might be able to recover it at some point I could use something more dependable. The problem being I have a tight budget. Does anyone have any suggestions? Budget: $500 Use: Daily web browsing, lite video editing on the go. Lite gaming. Preferences: preferably at least an i5. I can upgrade ram if it is ddr3 (I am fine with both Mac and Windows machines). I have no troubles buying used, as that has been my past two laptops anyway. I am mostly looking for recommendations on older models that I could look up. I have been mostly looking at a mixture of old ThinkPads and 2012 MacBook Pro's. My biggest concern is thermals and portability (seeing as how my recent laptop was poor in both regards). Depending on the price upgradability would be a nice bonus (storage and ram upgrades).
  4. 8700K price?

This product is currently going through a reclass process, along with a bunch of others. The i5's got hit particularly hard with this as well. Anything that is currently visible is likely acting as a place holder. Signed, Micro Center Employee
  5. i need help

Full specs? Otherwise just looks like your unable to overclock. It is still showing what looks like your GPU at the bottom like it should. Also, I don't recommend posting something twice, even if you do change the title.
  6. Gpu compare

http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/AMD-RX-560-vs-Nvidia-GTX-1050/3926vs3650 According to this comparison, no.
  7. creating gameplay videos

Nvidia's Geforce Experience has a pretty good recording program built into it. Doesn't use too many resources either so shouldn't slow down your games while playing.
  8. I'm willing to guess that yes it will be worth it. But seeing as how there is little to no information on 8th generation chips (let alone the laptop version) it is hard to say.
  9. Recommended monitors?

Since you have THE flagship GPU, you should be able to run just about any resolution and refresh rate you can get. Preferably, you should be looking at 1440p+ and high refresh rates.
  10. does the LG 25UM58-P support a headset

As far as I know it has a headphone jack, not a headset one. So no the mic won't work through it.
  11. Monitor Buying Guide

You didn't give an exact budget so I didn't know. This is the cheapest monitor I could find without looking at used. Still matches what you want. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071G6MYMW/?tag=pcpapi-20
  12. Monitor Buying Guide

Something like this should work for you. 144Hz Refresh rate, 4ms Response, IPS, 1440p, 27" https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ZOO348C/?tag=pcpapi-20 Otherwise consider having two monitors. One for photos, one for gaming.
  13. R5 1600 Overclocking Concern

Have you stress tested the overclock? It seems the general recommendation for using the stock cooler to overclock is to set the voltage to 1.35v and clock speed of about 3.9Ghz (if able). But if you can stress test it for an extended period of time and no crashed and your temps stay under control then it should be OK but not necessarily ideal.
  14. Gpu upgrade for 144hz

I would say wait. Your 1070 should push games pretty far and take full advantage of your monitor. The 1080's are typically recommended for those who want higher resolutions (4k).
  15. Boot time is longer the normal

An extra 9 seconds seems hardly a reason to worry. That is still a nice and fast boot. But the longer time is likely caused just from "age" like installed windows updates, or updates to other applications you have set to run on boot.
