yeah the game is very cpu intensive, and the 8320 isnt the best cpu out there in terms of gaming performance.

The GPU is rendering the video, the CPU is compressing it. Also video compression makes that number much lower, combined with the fact that streamers usually use 30FPS.

Not nessecarily, but remember each 690 is 2 680s in SLI, and for a game that doesn't benefit from SLI like PUBG, it's only using one of the four 680s that you have. And since the game is so badly optimized, i guess the 680 can't keep up.

Steam definitely won't let me install it on my Hackintosh, if that's what you mean by cross platform.

dogetorhue reacted to Light-Yagami in What actually bothers me about Console exclusive players
Hey there.
I'm usually now the kind of guy who would bi*ch about how other people think wrong or how could some people be stupid or how could some do that and that.. But today I really thought about why console players annoy me so much.
Is it because they can't appreciate the advantages you get on PC? Is it because they think consoles are "enough" to have a solid gaming experience? What truly bothers me? And what I think bothers most of PC masterrace people as well.
Now, I've noticed in the past 8 years that I've been in this PC masterrace kind of group of people (before that my main concern was to get in bed on time) that we mostly get console ports on PC. Along with higher res textures and usually some extended graphics options and stuff.. and that's okay. But what bothers me is that we have to wait for conoles to evolve FIRST and then the devs follow, make games harder to run and better looking in general and PC users can really push their systems. Also the fact that some ports are so horrible I'd rather not play them at all and that PC ports don't recieve enough attention in general, making many games leaving a lot to be desired.
But that's not really the point I'm trying to make.
Console gamers usually never played on a good PC, high res monitor.. you get the idea. Their life is a tv screen and a console that barely pushes 1080p, mostly upscaled from 900p or with sth like 80% res scale. At 30fps, with lots of delay because most TVs have slow response times. (most of them anyway)
That's their world. And when they get attacked from PC users for being basic, peasants and stupid for playing on a console, they simply have no clue what they did wrong. They enjoy playing on their console. Why can't we just leave them alone. Right?
NO. See I think this is where the problem lies. They're uneducated. They don't know better, so they think their console offers sufficient performance. They don't know, that there is a better world in 144hz, 1ms response time, day and night picture quality difference and so on. And they more often and not don't really want it. They're happy in their safe bubble. Why the hell would they trust some random people on the internet that they SHOULD spend 1500USD to get a new high end PC and "enjoy" games how they were ment to? They can do that just fine on their 300 dollar console.
And that bothers me. That they're happy where they are. That they don't demant better. That they don't crave for that next generation console with 6tflops of performance. They think "Ok, so I can get a PS4 PRO for 400USD and it'll give me 4k, but I don't really have a screen for that anyway. Games run just fine on the normal PS4, so why not just take that? And I have more money to spend on games" THAT'S how they think.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the majority of console gamers think that way.
We, the PC masterrace family - we're dissapointed if a new GPU generation doesn't deliver. We crave for better prices for consumers. We want that performance. We in general love to tinker. Or if anything, we at least appreciate the fact that we get 60fps, we get free multiplayer.. we get mods.. Even if we don't tinker with graphics options at all, we still have an option do to so if we desire. (not mentioning the whole PC building experience and all that comes with that)
I think that if console community would have the same spirit for technology as the PC community has, consoles would progress much quicker, games would develop faster and we, the PC community wouldn't have to wait as much. Because now we do. In many cases.
I have to admit, I get salty real fast if console player tries to justify gaming on a consoles by stating some "benefits you get" when playing on them or how 30 fps is as fluent as it gets.. while having no clue of what they're saying.. I despise that. From the bottom of my heart.
Hybrid players are the best IMO. They play consoles for exclusives and PC for everything else. (I'm not saying that's the case exactly, but you get the point)
What do you think about that? Correct me if I made a wrong statement or say something incorrect.. I'd love to hear your opinion.

dogetorhue reacted to Tsuki in 500mbps: Ethernet cable VS Wireless 5GHz
i play on wifi (802.11 ac 5GHz) , with a floor between me and the router.
i honestly dont have any issues that i wouldnt have already had on a wired connection.
the biggest difference is going to be a slight increase in latency, unless you're streaming.
even torrenting i didnt notice a major decrease.
as long as you have a stable connection, its not a big deal

dogetorhue reacted to SquintyG33Rs in 500mbps: Ethernet cable VS Wireless 5GHz
wifi is always less reliable. if you're doing multiplayer gaming it's going to be annoying, and there's no avoiding it. watching videos and live-streams or downloads won't show much of a difference between the two though.

Performance degradation itself isn't really a concern, in fact Linus did a video on that a while back. However, there's still a risk that there's something wrong with the card if you're buying it used.

My k65 has a standard mini-usb, not micro. Also it has a cable management route so thicker cables will not be able to fit in. Good keyboard BTW.

if you're going for budget, don't get a 7700k. I'd recommend a 7600k or even a cheaper i5, but also you should probably go for a 200 seried motherboard (z170 is older and doesn't support all features of kaby lake.

dogetorhue reacted to dizmo in Need help for building a pc to max out these games.
For 1440p I wouldn't go with anything less than a 1070. You have 2133mhz RAM on all builds with Ryzen. That's a poor choice, as it really favors faster RAM to get decent performance. The G4600 system uses an H110 board. You have to make sure the BIOS accepts the not only the newer chips, but that the board you get has the updated BIOS otherwise it won't work. IIRC the 2TB Caviar Blue is a 5400RPM drive. Not something I'd want to be booting games from. Build suggestions:
If you're importing, wait for Black Friday. Look at the Phanteks P300 case. Still tempered glass, cheaper price. iirc you can download Windows for free from Microsoft, if you don't mind only having one unchangeable background and a small notification at the bottom of the screen.

dogetorhue reacted to TheDutchmanModifies in NZXT S340 Elite ROG Edition
Hello fellow casemodders .
I thought it would be cool to show you pictures of my personal rig, showing you some of the proces too.
◾️Case: NZXT S340 Elite
◾️Mobo: Asus Z270-A Prime
◾️CPU: Intel i7 6700K
◾️RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB DDR4 @3200mhz
◾️GPU: Asus ROG Strix GTX 1080ti
◾️Cooling: Corsair H115i
◾️Storage: Samsung 850 Evo 500gb
◾️PSU: Corsair HX850i
◾️Coolermaster Vertical GPU Bracket
◾️Cablemod Extensions
◾️Cablemod RGB/W Hybrid ledstrip 60CM
◾️Cablemod Modwrap
As you've probably noticed already I'm quite a big fan of Asus .
This was practically my first true casemod. I'm a big fan of clean looking systems, so I did my best to make my build as clean as possible. The colored parts on the front of the case were handcut with the Dremel Moto-saw. The Corsair logo and the ''Rebublic of gamers'' on the PSU shroud were cut by hand with an exactoknife. The fans are custom painted Corsair SP120 Quiet Editions.
I'll start with the final result pictures:
The Custom Cablemod (Modmesh) cables and the AIO Modwrap truly made the build shine .
Now it's time to tell something about the proces!
It all started with the design, which was drawn in Sketchup.
This was the first time using my Dremel Moto-saw, I enjoyed working with it very much. The cuts were very accurate and the machine was easy to work with.
These were the first cuts I made. Not bad for a first try I guess.
After all of the cuts were done the black parts got a paintjob.
And so did the red parts
The whole picture looked like this, and I coudln't be happier
After the frontplate was finished I started on the fan paintjobs. I made a little tutorial on that can be seen under here.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Tutorial can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kPzaLbuDOuQ&t=25s <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Then the time came to make the PSU shroud cover. The first try wasn't good enough IMO, so I made a new one later on. First-Second down below. Both tries were handcut.
At last I modded the Strix 1080ti to fit the theme better.
On the back of the fanshroud you can see the molten attachment points which keep the 6 smaller pieces in place.
I found that the molten pieces whould be drilled in with a 4mm drill, 3ish mm deep. Then you should be able to whip the parts off with a flathad screwdriver.
After getting all the pieces off it's a matter of spraying the parts with the color you'd want them to be.
A bit of rain won't stop me from modding!
It turned out pretty well . Well applied hotglue will hold it in place well enough.
The new Cablemod cables deserved some serious attention on the cablemanagement. I cut a part off the S340 Elite's Cablemanagement bar's bottom part. Using the Dremel 4000, 175 Watts that get through the steel with ease.
I used Nanoxia's cablecombs to rout them perfectly down the line.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I've had a wonderful time working on this project. I hope you enjoyed reading through this buildlog .
If you have any other questions regarding this mod, don't hesitate to ask!
Kind regards, Ruben - TheDutchmanModifies

You sure you can't find a used pc that has a decent cpu already for ~£100 and then just pop in a 1050 with the remaining budget?
