  1. Ok so to get str8 to the point i left a friend playing games on my pc last night, and came home this morning to find my adata su800 1tb ssd unrecognizable by my windows or bios mb crosshair vii hero wifi. I cannot for any reason not get my ssd to be recognized by my pc whether its bios or windows. But what i can say is that I found poweriso mounted on drive which was the letter of my ssd 1tb drive.
  2. Whelp lost all my files todays guys. For a guy that knows alot about virus, this one hit me and got me good. My system is fast so it had spread very fast in minutes. It first infected another user acc on the same pc, then it got to mine. Just deleted 24tb of data...it still formatting as I type this lol.
  3. I know right but thanks to the people who helped me here and on FB. CHEERS!!
  4. Well for starters the front i/o USB3.1 Gen 2 was killing power to the whole system when plugged in, dont know why but maybe its damaged. Secondly the bios was one of the problem, had to update it then it actually stays on with memory inserted, as before it would just shut off after a couple seconds. Thirdly had a faulty HDMI wire so had to switch to my Display Port then I managed to actually boot and post to monitor.
  5. Got it working guys, thanks to all that helped me in this endeavor.
  6. I cant even access the website if im logged in.
  7. Dont have any connected at this moment but it was a samsung 860 evo 500gb
  8. Ok how cant I do that if nothing is posting, literally nothing comes up on my monitor.
  9. Manual says 2nd from left and last slot for dual channel but use last slot for single...I have done that as well in the beginning but still same error, sorry for not including this info in the beginning. I have also read posts but its from 2017 that some of these boards has faulty dimm slots too. Im hoping thats not the case with this as this board is very expensive and where I live dont sell these highend boards muchless mdium end, only very low end. So I have order everything which is expensive for me especially the cost of S&H and duty.
  10. Hi guys good day. Im having a bit of trouble making my pc post. I just finished the build specs will be below. Everything is hooked up correctly as far as video tutorials go, when click the power button it boots but nothing shows on monitor and after a couple second, like 30secs, it shuts down by itself but before that freezes at qcode 55 for like 5secs then briefly shows an 8 for like a milisecond (not 08 just ? then shuts down. I have looked at code 55 and it says "memory not installed" but I've tried different dimms, used one stick, use both sticks switch it around all sorts but still nothing. Any help is appreciated thanks. Mobo: Crosshair VII hero wifi Cpu: Ryzen 7 2700x Memory kit: 2x8gb corsair vengeance 3000mhz ver. 5.36 Cooler: AIO masterliquid ML240R RGB PSU: Evga supernova 850 p2 Case: Bequiet dark base pro 900 rev. 2 Edit: when memory is completely removed from system it stays on and qcode "AA" is shown. So now I thinks its possibly a memory problem not sure as i dont have anymore to test and ddr4 memory is very scarce where I live, so what to do?
  11. Forget about the infinite loop, it doesnt even boot/post now. By infinite loop i mention before i meant that it just cycles through some debug numbers and goes right back around with the same numbers and everytime it reaches a specific code "3b" my mouse and keyboard light flashes but nothing shows on the screen and it does this over and over But forget about that, now it wont even power on at all...i disconnected everything and reconnected and still no luck.
  12. @DrMikeNZ I need serious help rightnow...I took out my r9 290 and swap it with my gtx 1080 from my other rig and since then my system doesnt want to boot up. No kind of power not even the cpu fan or chasis fan spins. Just one rgb light is lit on the mobo and thats it. Prior to swapping the cards the bios was updated from 2.40 to AGESA 3.00 through the bios its using the built in bios updater and thats when the computer started giving signs of failure, it didnt want to post at all, no matter what i do, the system would just go into an infinite loop... I thought it was the video card hence the reason for the swap. But since d swap nothing is getting power and i made sure everything is connected but no power...did the mobo died? Help me plz desperately.
  13. Yeah same exact thing i was thinking, take a look at this if you dont mind https://www.google.com.bz/amp/s/amp.reddit.com/r/AMDHelp/comments/61johq/new_ryzen_build_keeps_crashing/
  14. i had for a while, maybe a year and a half. but its well taken care of its and r9 290 4gb i clean it to time and by clean i mean every 2 to 3 months i would open it take of the heatsink and reapply thermal paste and it good to go after that. but it gotta have some thing to do with the driver or so cos ive read people having the same problem as me when their game crshes its because its under load and its a ryzen 1700 build, dunno maybe it could be stemming from the ryzen 7 1700 as well not pairing well with this older card.but my system is very stable i can do nearly anything except for gpu intensive activity.
  15. yeah thanks, im still getting the games crashing but i now know its the gpu drivers thats causing the crashes, it updated itself 2day while i was gone and now the crashing of gpu intensive app is back, even though i rolled back the driver, guess i gotta do a fresh install of the 17.7.1 drivers. its getting real frustrating, this is by far the most frustrating build i had to deal with but its worth it in the longer run i guess.
  16. Ok I got i resolved...it was indeed a graphics problem, what i did was install crimson v16.5.1 then update from there to 17.7.1 and voila played a game with no problems. and now i even got my ram OC'ed to 2933 with absolutely no problems. thanks for your help @DrMikeNZ I really appreciate it, you really dont know how i feel im very satisfied, would buy a beer for you if u were here ^^. Next thing im tying to do is OC the cpu to 3.8ghz the highest but i dont know what to change to have it stable as when i try to do it manually it it crash the whole system and revert back to 3.0Ghz.
  17. I want to agree with you, as everything i read about this mobo is mostly bad...i should've gotten the Taichi and done. That might be the reason why ASRock had put this board as EOL (end of life) so early in its state...they might have figured out it had a design flaw...if this is the case...im a bit furious...cos i wasted alot of money just to have it shipped to my country, not to mention that its $2.15 to $1 US dollar over here so u can just imagine how much i spend. I spend $488.88 total on this $159.99 mobo just to have it shipped here and whats not...i just want to be able to run my games thats it. I cant afford to get s new mobo or new set of memory sticks... When i reach home today im gonna do the memtest and see if its the memory. And im going to try and tweak it to a sweet spot see if that works...i dont really kno how to manually overclock...so i dont really kno what would be the sweet spot...im normally a dude that jus settles for the stock...but even at stocks this shit is happening to me...
  18. I am running at "out of the box" frequency. Nothing have been touched like what i said earlier. That last part u said hurt me..."If that doesn't work, you might need to manually set secondary or tertiary timings which requires the AGESA 1.0.0.6 update. Or, replace the motherboard." Why would i need to replace mobo reason for me asking this quedtion is that im not able to return anything where i live...im not even in the US, rather im in Central America. So even if i could return anything it will take weeks to do so just for delivery, not to mention the time it will take for the manufacturer to replace it...but like u said it has to be some type of setting in my bios cos the system stays on with out a crash any at all...it doesnt even crash, its the application that crashes after it tries utilising cpu or ram.
  19. Could it be my memory? Cos mine isn't showing on Asrock's fatal1ty x370 QVL here: http://www.asrock.com/MB/AMD/Fatal1ty X370 Gaming K4/index.asp#Memory I wouldnt have bought this kit if it werent for pcpartpicker...they said the memory is compatible hence tue reason i got it.
  20. Thanks for the response, Its at a lower frequency which is 2133mgz and the highest it can go os 2933mhz from what i read. I already over clocked it using the xmp profile1 which was provided and all you had to do was pick the highest frequency closest to that of your ram sticks...which i did and it worked but anything that required any load on the computer crashed...i doubt its the cpu cos i did a cinebench earlier which completed successfully with a score of 1554 cb at stock...so maybe it could indeed be the ram or can it be my video card...cos my computer doesnt crash...its just the applications that crashes. I really dont know what to think thats why im here.
  21. Ok, hi guys. Im new here but is an avid follower on Linus Tech Tips on his youtube channel. Ok so I've been having a bit of trouble...i set up a Ryzen 7 1700 (none x) PC and it boots well with no errors whatsoever, until i try to play a game witch is cpu and/or gpu and /or Ram hungry. When doing so my game is playable for like 20 to 30 secs then it completely freezes and then crashes. I've tried running bench marks using several different softwares and the same is true as well for these softwares. Any thing i do that puts a load on the computer make that specific app crash. I've updated to the latest version of windows and my setup is as follows ASRock Fatal1ty x370 Gaming K4 Ryzen 7 1700 CPU Stock Wraight Cooler Corsair Vengeance LPX 16gb (2×8) (CMK16GX4M2B3000C15) PSU EVGA 750 P2 Radeon R9 290 4GB (which isnt updated to the latest driver available because it crashes the video card as well leaving tue screen blank and computer on) Absolutely nothing was overclocked Mobo bios was updated to 2.40. they have a 2.50 and 3.00 bios update as well but those arent stable enough for me, for when i flash those 2 i get random bsods with stock clocks. Reason for being at v2.40 bios is because I read its the best bios to overclock and am planning to do so when ever i figure out what this problem is. Any help would be much appreciated. If someone else had this problem amd already solve it then point me to that post please and thanks.
