He's going to be gaming and doing slides and photo shop for school and research such as web browsing with multiple tabs. Hey guys so I was wondering is it possible to build a pc with the gtx 1080 ti only spending around 1600 or 1700 usd? I see all these videos on YouTube and Ręddit posts about people wasting 2k + build a using it but was wondering if they are just paying for aesthetics. I have 2500 currently saved up from my job but I'm going to buy a 500 dollar 1440 p 165hz Monitor and I still need to buy the mouse keyboard desk chair and speakers. I'm completely new to pc gaming as I just moved to it from console is their anyway I could get a good build for around that price range without sacrificing quality of the parts inside the pc because of the budget ?

It was a typo meant gtx 1080 because I heard anything gtx 1080 and up was over kill on only a 1080p display anf should go 1440p and also a gtx 1080 ti seems nice in this build was just wondering if a ryzen 7 would do good also I heard it is just generally lacking when placed next to the Intel i7 7700k in terms of gaming and editing in photoshop?

Question what made you go for the 24 inch? I was going to get the same Monitor but upgrading to the 27 inch was only 100 more and I heard 1440 p display benefits alot more for bigger screens then smaller ones?

I'm looking to game on high graphic triple A games on a 1440 p 165hz Monitor and my budget 1500. Pls help also I was wondering if 1080 p was fine for a cycle 1080. I would prefer it to be Intel i7 just because I do lots of photo shop and want to game alot too in which i7 7700k excels at .

My budget was 2300 but that was including the monitor , desk to put my pc on, speakers, chair, keyboard/mice, windows 10 card , and the pc parts / case . Is it future proof meaning it will last atleast 3 years . Also a side note I wanted to go big on the monitor because a monitor is almost as important as the pc itself because it's something I'm going to be looking at over the next few years.
