  1. Must have been a glitch. Right after I posted, I let the game run during battle and it peaked at 72%.
  2. I put one of my games to the test and have built more buildings and added more enemies than ever before and for the first time ever, I'm getting significant slow down. According to my task manager; GPU; 3% CPU; 19% Memory; 39% Is it possible I need more ram? And the game is Riftbreaker. If it's as simple as going from 32 ram to 64 ram, then that works. But wanted to post because this forum has steered me away from some bad buys in the past. My hardware should be listed in my signature.
  3. Got into an odd argument a while back. Thought I posted about this, but couldn't find the thread. A buddy was convinced Cherry Red switches clicked when pressing them. Wouldn't even watch any YouTube vids I pulled up on my phone to see what I was saying. I've been under the belief for years that Cherry switches had many variations; cherry red (smooth), cherry brown (tactile), cherry blue (audible clicky). Is there a classic cherry red switch that is clicky? Am I using the wrong language when referring to the cherry red switches on my HyperX Keyboard? This is largely an argument that doesn't matter, but I'm bored and wanted to post. This oddity came to mind and when trying to Google it, I kept reading "Cherry MX red" vs what I normally say "Cherry red."
  4. Every tutorial shows a USB M.2 Encloser. If I have two M.2 slots on my MB, can I avoid using an encloser? Edit; And simply use my other M.2 slot?
  5. I'm trying to upgrade my 500gb 970 Evo to a 2tb 970 Evo Plus and when I installed the 2tb, nothing shows up under the C-drive. The 2tb drive is listed under Device Manager--> Disk Drives, but nowhere else. What's my first step here? Also, since I have two M.2 slots, I was hoping to do all transfering/cloning from my motherboard without buying in of equipment. Is that simply not possible?
  6. Alright, dumb question. I'll let it go. Have a nice day.
  7. My specs are in my signature. The gist of it is that with my 3080 and 1440p monitor, I'm not able to use max settings on my games. I prefer a butter smooth experience over highest resolution. Right now I'm in the pre-pre-planning stage of my next build. I'm happy with what I have now, but dislike that I'm still not maxing out all my graphics settings without dipping into 80fps or below(talking to you CP 2077). Looking for a discussion of my build might look like going into 2025 (release 5080 might be end of 2024).
  8. Is there a kit available for a mic attachment to the DT 770 Pros? I'm thinking there's got to be a claw attachment or something that can be used to attach to just about anything, but I can't find anything at the moment.
  9. I'm about ready to break and spend $1,700 on a 3080. This one specifically. I was trying to wait until they could be gotten for around $1,000... But that could be another couple of years. Any of you break and pay more? What do you think of the price of the one I mentioned? Or similar $1,700 graphics cards? This is all for gaming. I want to start using Ray Tracing and see what kind of performance I can get with the latest generation of games. If you recommend a different card for pure gaming, please let me know.
  10. Is there any way someone outside my apartment can hack it to find out about my fury-mommy-trans-porn addiction? An hour later and all I hear is cricket. It was at least a little funny...
  11. My MB doesn't have wifi so I bought a wifi adapter and don't know how to connect my Series X controller to my PC so I can play on steam without being wired. I've heard I need a network adaptor, but don't know if that's old information. My PC should be listed in my signature below to show my MB. The wifi adapter is this... I can't seem to find a good tutorial. What's the first step?
  12. Might be the wrong place to post, hoping someone here can help problem solve. On another forum where I post, my ability to post photos seems to have been blocked. I actually bought something directly from the site, which gave me a supporter status. Ever since the "Supporter" status, I haven't been able to upload photos. I have a dialogue with the administrators and they can't figure it out. It might be a coincidence though. I'm wondering if my camera format got an update that is causing an issue. I honestly don't know. Still using the same phone camera (Galaxy 10s), same size, same format. Everything appears to be the same. Does anyone have an idea?
  13. Would you provide a link? When I googled this, I found $600 chairs... I don't know what I'm looking for. A more immersive feeling of sound by using three front speakers. Don't even know it that's possible. What would be the smallest subwoofer that could be used? The space in front of my pc is 4.5in X 20in.
  14. I have the Bose Companion 2. The clarity and depth is phenomenal, but lately I've been playing Doom 2016 and feeling like I need more. The base can be felt a little, but it's like the game is trying to give more, only limited by my speakers. Is there a way to add a subwoofer or something/anything to enhance the experience. This is a data collecting post as I don't know what is possible and what is not. I'm not looking to put speakers all around my room, more so directly in front of me below my monitor or above my head. Ideally, smaller speakers. Again, I'm not sure what's possible here, so feel free to give any feedback. What are your thoughts?
  15. Thank you, but now the NVIDIA website is giving me and access denied page... Edit; Never mind, I got to the page... Edit again; Thanks for the feedback all. The simply can't run on a 1080 Ti.
