  1. My laptop is ASUS FX705DT has 8gb ram with timing (17-17-17-39)as per Hwinfo64 . I am planning on adding another 8gb memory stick. What should I get? Is the below module compatible with my laptop. ? Crucial CT8G4SFS824A 8GB DDR4-2400 PC4-19200 CL-17 SODIMM RAM
  2. It really depends on the kind of games you want to play or play right now. Even a 1080 can push 144 easy on most games. Triple a titles are hard to run at 144 Even with a 2080ti. So my recommendation is a GTX 1660Ti or a Rtx 2060 depending on your budget . These can push 144 on most games . And 4k is not an option for you I think not really for us. 4k is for the whales with big wallets. So just go for an rtx 2060 or 1660ti . If you could push up your budget then maybe the rtx 2060 super not more than that.
  3. I just got an ASUS FX705DT ryzen 5 GTX 1650 8gb 1tb hard disk ,no ssd. installed Csgo runs fine with 100+ fps. Pubg is not running well . hitting 60 fps but a lots of stuttering. Fps drops to 50 very often and occasionally to 30. Graphic settings set to medium and post processing and anti aliasing set to very low. Is it some issue that can be fixed or is it just my hardware can't handle this load.
  4. WD blue is more expensive than P1 here. P1 is the cheapest ssd here . And then there's Intel 660p
  5. Is Crucial P1 a good choice. I need 500gb or I would have gone for a Samsung
  6. I got a new laptop yesterday. Asus FX705DT with ryzen 5 3550H . Doesn't have a ssd.it is really slow . It takes ages to open apps or windows and a lot of the windows stop responding very often. Is it a problem of the CPU or the slow hard disk. I am planning on adding a ssd will it help . My cinebench R20 score is 1400 on normal and 1600 on turbo mode.
  7. Hardware is really expensive in my country MSRP of 1080 ti is $950 the 2080 is on pre-order for $1100 and the 2080ti for $1570. I could afford the 1080ti but I'm willing to spend the extra 150 for the 2080 if I will benefit from it in game Dev.
  8. I can atmost afford a 1080ti and most stretch out to a 2080. It's just that I really don't know what is more beneficial to game development more cores or faster clock speed I'm sure the 2080 will be better than the 1080 ti in game play but I wanna know whether the more cuda cores, vram and the higher memory bandwidth of the 1080ti would be more beneficial for game development or not .
  9. I can't afford the 2080 ti so I think you misunderstood my question.
  10. I have been planning to build a pc for game development and also playing high end AAA games for a few months now but I waited for Nvidia to launch their latest cards. Now that they did I am really confused coz these new cards are so expensive. I was planning on going for the RTX 2080 since its latest gen but it's really expensive and also the GTX 1080 ti which is cheaper has much more cuda cores and higher memory interface and also more memory I just don't know. The 2080 will be faster in most games I think but the 1080 ti would'nt be far behind so I wanna know which card will perform better in game engines . P.S. I will be using unreal engine 4 and unity.please help
  11. I am confused between gtx 1060 6gb, RX 480 4gb or RX 470 8gb Pricing is not a factor . I am aware of the price hikes. I just need to know which one of the above three cards is good in performance. I will be mostly playing GTA V online at high settings.
