  1. I have been dealing with bottlenecking this weekend with my I7 7700(locked)& GTX 1080ti and for me, it seems to be very much down to the game But what seems to stop certain games from bottlenecking was locking the FPS to 60, so if you find your CPU is bottlenecking give that a try
  2. Yeah that's a good call Locking the FPS on those problem games seems to have sorted the bottleneck out so I happy to wait awhile but defiantly going to look at the Zen2 CPU's when they come out
  3. Yeah just worked out this weekend that's its defiantly a bottleneck that is happening with certain games! But a friend suggested locking the FPS to 60 might solve it AND HE WAS RIGHT (division 1 was running) I have a 144HZ Monitor so it sucks not pushing out as much FPS as I can but for the few games that bottleneck my CPU (most dont) this is a great solution I have tested and confirmed that solves my Bottleneck problem on the following games all running on ULTRA locked to 60fps: Division 1 Assassins Creed Odessey Assassins Creed Origins World War Z
  4. Thanks a lot for this dude Razen 2700x does seem like the best option for me and hearing that you have had a good experience with yours is just what I need to hear as Zen 2 seems very close I think I will hang on until that is realised and either grab a new chip or a 2700x if there is a good price drop
  5. Agreed that's why I am thinking upgrade! Just a shame as it's not really that old
  6. Yeah a simple number change on the socket would help with this alot! Even if it's the same socket
  7. It's not so much newer games that is the problem Division 1 runs at 100% but Sekiro runs at about 30% it's more the games then the age I think
  8. They really could have made that more obvious thanks for the heads up
  9. really just looking on ebuyer and they list it as LGA 1151 - that's really bad if they are wrong
  10. that's the problem for 75% of games I play, it's brilliant and does everything I need it too but then there are these ones it struggles with that drives me crazy
  11. Thanks for this, this helps a lot I may consider upgrading to an I7 8700 as they are the same socket I won't need a new Mobo not sure I want to switch to Ryzen though
  12. Hi and thanks for your response I use the NvEnc encoder so most of the work is done by the GPU not the CPU also, the games are running my CPU @ 90-100% off stream as well I dont mind the cost of a new CPU/Mobo but it feels like a waste as the I7 7700 should still be a very capable CPU
  13. Hi Everyone This is my basic Rig Windows 10 Pro Core I7 7700 (not the K version) Nvidia GTX 1080ti 16GB DDR4 Ram 256GB SSD + 4TB HDD I am having a problem where some gaming are maxing out my CPU load but running fine (no stutters or lag) but as im a twitch streamer I need some headroom on my CPU to run the programmes I need to stream The Division The Division 2 World War Z Assassins Creed Origins Assassins Creed Odessey all push my CPU usage to 100 percent making it hard to stream as OBS struggles to get time on my CPU (if I just run the games without the streaming apps the CPU is still 90-100% utilized) But other games like Dark Souls 1,2 & 3 Sekiro Overwatch Ashen Resident Evil 2 Far Cry 5 Fallout 4 VR do not push my total CPU usage including streaming apps past 50% At first, I thought it was just bad optimization on some games but im seeing 100% on more and more games, I know my CPU is a 7th Gen but its not really that old and I dont think I should have to replace it yet but im getting to the point where I dont have a lot of choice what do you guys think? (thank you for any input you may give)
