Hello LTT forum. i have an REALY annoying problem.(pc specs below) Everytime i Restart or Start my PC i always have to wait 10-20 minutes on an screen that says: "Windows gets Prepaired".. <Translated.[German" Windows wird vorbereitet"] When i start THEN shutdown the PC while its saying Windows gets prepaired windows is broken, and wont start .. (stuck in this screen) but if i keep this running and not shutdown then it sometimes starts and lets me login I reseted windows a couple times.. (atleast 10 times) This problem started when i had everything perfectly working .... i had an windows theme installed thats (probably) not compatible with the build... then windows made an automatic update... and i couldnt login cause the theme crashed everytime..(login >blackscreen...5 seconds ... login>...) then i did reset windows. since the problem is occuring. but not allways. but 90% out of the time sometimes this takes 5 minutes, sometimes it just stuck an hour and i shutdown and reset.. PC Specifications: Grafics Card: Zotac GeForce® GTX 960 AMP! 4g Processor: AMD FX 8350 (8 core) 4400MHz RAM: HyperX Predator 16GB 1866MHz Motherboard: Asus M5A99FX EVO R2.0 Operating System: Windows 10 Build 10.0.16299

ok no problem. well everything should work yes.. thats why i think its the mobo.. and yes its moving (with the realtek driver and before i installed it it just didnt detect my headset. ..."not plugged in" )

yes i did. all of them. ( for mic i tried connecting an microphone ) also tried optical.. doesnt work either

ok ;D now i got it.! I connected my headset on the front of my PC. trough SPDIFF... Not trough HDMI... but HDMI works.. still its very annoying to use an television just to get audio..

oh ok. i connect my devices to SPdif (i think... cause it always says something with spdiff) i dont realy know what DAC is. btw. if i use the sound through HDMI it works just fine! ...still i dont want to sit all day in the living room to get sound through an HDMI monitor... i tried all connections in this picture (3. pic) https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/M5A99FX_PRO_R20/gallery/

[not sure..] did you try changing the bios battery (usualy under the gpu PCIE slot)

i just installed windows 10 .. (before posted on windows 7) i got the same problems with the sound. How do i dissable the nvidia drivers . i just installed windows 10 and the HDMI drivers are automaticly there... and what do you mean with " what sound u need? " i only have ONBOARD sound. sure. a pcie soundcard would work. but im not sure if ill save money if i buy an new motherboard instead buying a soundcard. then a powered usb hub.... you know what i mean right? and the registry? what do you mean with clean it... i just installed windows 10 .. still same problems. im going to try installing asus drivers now.. ill answer how it went

Hey guys.[i think my MB is the reason for many of the problems ] I have a couple problems with my ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0 Motherboard. to let this topic simple and understandable i'll explain what i did and how it happened.. I TRIED INSTALLING WINDOWS 7 ... instead of WINDOWS 10 ... where most of the things occured... but same problems on ANY OS... even on linux.. yeah linux has the same problems listed below... [usb problem > Fixed itself somehow] If i put many devices in my USB ports my PC crashed, a year later i had a problem where the USB devices disconnect randomly for some reason..BOTH PROBLEMS SOMEHOW GOT FIXED BY TIME. [audio problem] my main concern... To clear this up : No, i did not select the wrong device. i tried to select all devices.. So.... this sounds strange but im having the audio issue since i installed an nvidia driver. after rebooting my audio device just said : not plugged in (in the windows audio settings ) [ see picture. http://imgur.com/a/Adqse .. its in german but "nicht angeschlossen" means not connected! after i installed the nvidia driver i looked at the device manager and looked if there was a new audio driver installed on my soundcard, ! yes , nvidia installed an sound card update! (it was the same date there was the last change) What i did try: I gone to the realtek site, tried the realtek driver.. i also tried : the audio driver from my motherboard's support section.. also tried reinstalling the audio drivers a couple times. and i also tried installing nvidias first driver... and the newest... and maaany more drivers... The device gets detected fine... but if i stick in a headset... speaker... ANYTHING.... it does simply not work! it keeps saying : not plugged in... ( i have audio inputs on my case and on my motherboard.. tried both ) [NETWORK problem.. ] just realized an hour before i wrote this that my ethernet/LAN port isnt working... [my router says a device got detected with an lan cable.. my pc doesnt detect anything ] so. i bought the Netgear A6210.. its a device known to have problems. but. i got it to somehow work. ( if you look in threads. people say about the adapter that the main problem is that the driver itself cant detect the wifi adapter and that its dumb programmed or something. ... anyways) so i got it running somehow and all that...it works fine exept csgo.... in csgo my ping is very "bouncy ..." it jumps from 20 ping to arround 400 and back and the problem is ONLY in csgo so its realy strange.... the problem occured a couple times this year and also last year.... i dont think its my ISP ( my ISP is : Kabel BW ... a german ISP ) [CS:GO = counterstrike global offensive] ( i have decent internet and a decent connection..signal strengh is high enough, network bandwith too.... 100MB/s UP and 5MB/S DOWN ... or a bit less you know isps are shitty ) i hope you guys could help me fix atleast one problem so guys... im going to install windows 10 now ... im posting in this again when i installed it... maybe it'l fix something... or not.... lets see ~iKnowThingz ... or iDontKn0wHowToFixMyDamnComputer
