You talk about value and yet you have those parts?

Any of the CPU's you mentioned will do fine, i would recommend to hold out for Ryzen 3rd Gen though

We are fairly close to the Ryzen 3 launch as rumors suggest could be coming by May or June so if you can, hold off until we can see what Ryzen 3 can truly do.

3 never choose a love story movie for a first date( the girl may think you want to make out with her)
    4 practice my kissing
5 never talk about pc games at date
6 never say how hot a female char is in a game
7 never wear light color jeans

I can guarantee you that piece of paper is going to worth MORE than both the paper it is printed on and the money you pay for it.

Also get certified in UNIX. You have no idea how many Employers in the IT field demand you have knowledge of the UNIX environments.
    https://education.oracle.com/learn/operating-systems/pPillar_6?certPage=true

When I applied for internships, these two are pretty much the routine questions they ask. Do you know about databases? Do you know how to use UNIX/Linux?

For general programming, there really aren't any must have certs that i'm aware of. There are some around information security, (pen testing, etc.), but nothing that i know of for just getting a standard programming job. Most companies only require some kind of 4 year degree for an entry level position, though some don't and will take bootcamps or just a solid interview instead (usually smaller companies). I work in a large software development company (not part of the big 4, but a similar culture), and no one i've ever talked to mentioned getting a certification for anything, either on the recruiting side or the engineering side.

You do mention Big Data, which is technically a bit of a different field than general programming, with a different set of job pre-reqs. AFAIK a lot of big data positions prefer at least a masters in stats or math, but i'm not in the big data space so I can't speak to that. I only wanted to put my 2 cents in for the general programming.

Welcome to the brand new PSU Tier List! Worked on, by @Stefan Payne, @LukeSavenije, and myself. This is a complete overhaul.

We'd recommend that if you have a gaming system, to not have a unit below Tier B.

All information below is opinion based on fact. Units may be bumped down due to the following: missing protections, group regulation, bad electrical performance and catching fire.
List is subject to change at any time, due to change in sources available.
Single rail units exceeding 650W will not be placed above Tier A.
Sleeve bearing fans will not be placed above Tier B. Group regulated units will not be placed above Tier C.

Then why are you asking on a forum like LTT?

But you are in luck, here are a couple of very knowledgeable persons regarding PSU:s, but most people don't like what they have to say....

And just because that PSU hasn't exploded yet (or even will) doesn't make it a good PSU. Most PSU:s just work, even mediocre or even bad ones, they are just more likely to cause random trouble like unstable systems, bad/unstable OC, BSOD:s, failing random hardware like memory, HDD/SSD:s, motherboards, GPU:s, melting wires/connectors and so on. If they fail and go up in a ball of fire (have happened) the likelihood of it damaging some or all hardware is much greater as there are no or not sufficient protections.
Even the best PSU can die, but it won't take the system with it....

I for one is newer going to understand that a person that can put up thousands of dollar on high end hardware and additional bling-bling is a tight-ass when it comes to the most important part in the whole system. " -Hey, i just bought a 2080Ti and a 9900K but I won't pay more than $55 for a PSU... those things are so expensive.... " but ask here anyway and get an answer like "get this or this, cost $20 more" and then go "No way... to much money, I found this for $35, that must be good. Why would the sell it if it weren't good?"

Bottlenecking is one of the biggest "fearmongering" talking point in PC-build/gaming.

bottlenecking is highly dependant on game and resolution, and just about every game the GPU take precident over the CPU. which is why its prefferably to spend extra on the GPU over the CPU.

Ryzen remains cost effective in a build up untill the 1200-1400$ mark.
  25. Agree
Settlerteo reacted to Nocte in Why is AMD the Budget Option for Gamers?
That's a logical fallacy right there. First, you said that it was already bottlenecking the 2060, now you are saying it will eventually bottleneck it sooner?
You are just proving my point that it depends on the game. As it depends on how well a game is optimised for multi-core CPUs (which will also determine which CPU will bottleneck first, but I digress).

You are also not mentioning anything about upgradability which was one of my points. I'm probably going to buy Zen 2 (Ryzen 3000) once it gets released, and I won't have to replace any of my components but for my CPU. Even if the rumours of Zen 2 beating Intel at single-core performance are not true (which seems unlikely imo), you can rest assured that those CPU will be way more than enough for high-framerate monitors (not surprising since my 1600 already is and I have 2 144Hz monitors).
