  1. Okay. I did consider M50X, but heard 598 is actually more comfortable for long time use. But I will look into other headphones.
  2. I value variety of opinions to finalize my judgement, since I would consider them as personal experience, which I would like to know.
  3. Hello community. I first thought about buying 7xx from massdrop, but soon realize while 7xx is great headphone, it needs amp/dac for its full potential. I do not think I would be willing to pay that much yet. So I looked into 598SR and AD900X. Right now, AD900x is at $133 at Amazon, while 598SR is at $160 range. 1. How are these headphone? This will be my very first audiophile headphones. While I would like great experience, how comfortable after long use is also important for me. 2. How are these headphones with or without amp/dac? I see many of these headphones are used with amp/dac. But I heard 598SR or 900x do not really need amp/dac. Is this true? I know it would be good investment, but I do not believe I am ready for that yet. 3. Are there any other options that you would recommend? Do you have other headphones that you would recommend? It is alright to treat me like a baby, and babytalk me, because I am. I am noob. I've been using apple earphones and Logitech g230 for years. Price range hopefully between $100~$200, because if it is over $200, might as well get that 7xx massdrop deal now, and get amp. 4. What are your opinions on used headphones? Cheaper option with possible consequences. But yeah. Would it be better to wait until Black Friday or Christmas, and wish they are on sale, or should I just try to grab one used? Thank you for your time.
  4. Actually it could be. Like it won't do anything, but I did hear that it actually destroys sectors that are set by ssd or something.
  5. nah its cool. I usually write my posts long haha.
  6. So my 4 years old laptop hdd is dying. I think it is hdd, because my laptop would freeze for 2 minutes, and when it comes back, whole letters in windows files would either be blank, or turn into alien language. So for the first time, I am looking into used ssd. I heard many things about used ssd horror stories. First, there is life expectancy, about max of 7 years or so, and sometimes, ones in the market are accidently defragemented, which ruins (?) ssds. I was offered this ssd for 130 shipped, and I am thinking about buying it, just to squeeze a bit more out from my laptop, and use it on my brand new desktop once laptop dies. So my question is: 1. Are there any ways to know if ssd was defragmented or not from cdi info? 2. How do you define, lightly used, with cdi info? 3. Does this deal looks alright to you guys? Thank you for your time, and have a good day.
  7. sorry to hear that. Yeah. Just wanted to see if what the seller claimed was right or not, since I did buy binned cpu.
  8. Yeah.. But was just curious if it was possible. I tried Prime95, but crashed into black screen at 1.4125. So didn't even bother to do higher voltages. But yeah. I was wondering that cpu mobo ram are all the same, and only variable I could think of were cooling (air vs AIO), and power supply. So yeah.
  9. Hello community. I have some questions to ask. This is my current setup: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/RbK6zM I currently have Ryzen 1700 at 3.9 with 1.368 volts, stable. Ram was stable at 3200 mhz with 14 14 14 14 34 timing with XMP 2 But the story is, I purchased CPU mobo and ram as a set, because the seller claimed he could get 4.0 ghz with 1.3875 volts, with NB at 1.1 stable with water cooling. He claimed to have done prime 95 for an hour. But when I purchased it and tried it my self, it was different story. Computer did boot up at 4.0 ghz with 1.3875 volts. But whenever I do Cinebench, it would instacrash. I pulled voltages all the way to 1.4 volts, with LLC level 2. It did one cinebench and crashed. During this process, I realized that the temperature read up to 77 and then crashed right away. I assumed it would be thermal issues, so I re applied thermal paste, and re mounted Dark Rock Pro 3 (which was hell of work to do alone). No difference. So I went back to 3.9 ghz, starting with 1.35 volts. Crashed cinebench. At 1.368 with llc level 2, it was stable, so I did real bench and prime95. Stable. But during stress test, temps went up to 86, but non of the cores failed. So this would eliminate the thermal issues. Next question would be the power supply. I purchased new EVGA 650 W g2 for 60 bucks somehow, because it was one of the tier 1 PSU recommended here. But then I do not have other PSU to try this out. Other things I tried were changing Bios version. When contacting the seller, he said he achieved this with Bios version 13. Current bios version when I received the mobo was at v15. I flashed to v13, but didn't do any trick. I also tried v17, which uses 1.0.0.6 AGESA, which I did hear that AGESA 1.0.0.4 does affect CPU overclocking performance, but this version did not let me have 3200 mhz, and got stuck at 2400 mhz for some reason. (manual timing input or XMP profile did not work) So what do you think the problem would be? I know 4.0 ghz only sounds nice, and will cost more bills and thermals. But I would like to be sure to have what I purchased for. It is good lottery chip, but yeah. What would be the reason for me not to able to achieve that 4.0 that seller insists to claim he did? I did contact him, and he was kind enough to help me out, but we did not have any luck. Any suggestions or solutions? Thank you in advance.
  10. Yeah. I live in Texas, and my living room is exposed to sun directly during afternoon... Unfortunately.
  11. Yeah.. tried that twice. With thermal paste reapplication. Dark rock pro 3 is hella hard cooler to mount alone..
  12. Thank you for your reply. I was concerned, since my majority of work will be streaming and video rendering. Was just wondering why temp would be around that range when cpu usage was not even full. Because cinebench takes temp to 75 or so.
  13. Hello community. I have some questions to ask. This is my current setup: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/RbK6zM I currently have Ryzen 1700 at 3.9 with 1.368 volts, stable. But I am not sure why, but I think temps are not normal. On my BIOS setup, I am using smart fan mode, where I would set 50% fan usage from 40 C, and 100% at 70 C I am using HWMonitor to monitor the temps. Temperatures at idle usually sits around 32~48 (temp spikes), during internet would be 44~51 (Temp spikes. don't know why) Today I was playing Battlefield 1 to see how the fps works out and all. With DirectX12 on on Ultra, max fps was 140, lowest was 110, averaging around 120~126. FPS looked normal. But the cpu temp looked weird. Max temp was recorded as 75, and when I pause the game to check HWMonitor to check temps, it was around 67 C. Now I know it is air cooled system, but to me this seems a bit high. I would like to ask for your opinions, and advice. My graphic card temp sits at 70 max. Would like to know if graphic card is alright as well. The case I am using is P400s Phanteks, with 3 120mm fans in front, 2 140mms at top, and 1 120mm at rear. Thank you in advance. PS. Also, according to the CPUID or HWMonitor, the core voltage says 1.368, but for some reason, on Ryzen Master, it says CPU voltage is 1.18750. I know Ryzen Master is not the best choice, but was wondering why they would show different values.
