    So I turned on the pc earlier and the wifi started working again, I went into device manager and see a new driver. I thought everything was fine and I tested to make sure that the driver would not dissapear again like last time. I turned on and off the pc 3 times and the driver stayed and I was connected to the wifi. I take my pc upstairs, hook it up and guess what? The drivers were gone and no wifi.

    Yea that’s the problem idk the manufacturer of the WLAN card or “adapter”. Do you think that upgrading back to windows 10 would help anything ?

    I downloaded all the newest drivers on the website for my motherboard. The WLAN is not defective if it worked all day yesterday

    1) I have no clue where the adapter actually is, its not a usb adapter and I cannot see it on my motherboard. If it is an onboard thing then the driver for it would be on the driver cd for my mobo. 2) If it worked before I don't think it is a "borked" install.

    It says it is installed however it’s not there.

    I do not want to buy a new wifi adapter when the one I have in my pc works, it worked literally yesterday.

    It was working perfectly fine yesterday however, when I got on this morning it suddenly disconnected me from wifi

    Not sure which wifi adapter I have because I have never seen it but this is what I saw in my device manager before I installed windows 7

    Hello, my wifi driver recently has disappeared from my device manager and I cannot seem to find it. I cannot access wifi now on my pc only Ethernet.

    Yes. I think I found the problem. My wlan driver is showing up as an unknown usb device. I don’t know how to fix it though

    After typing the thing into the comman prompt, nothing happened

    i followed ur steps for the devcon but when i open the devcon.exe it just closes instantly.
