  1. When i boot up overwatch my laptop is at 75C~ but when its up for like 2 mins it goes up to 85C and im still getting 144fps but its not as smooth anymore, but not quite 60hz. Its like im using 100hz thats working perfectly. Why does tempature affect how smooth the game is regardless of the number of fps? its 144 either way.
  2. 1060 same performance as 980. Funny joke. 970 crushes 1060 so just get it instead if theyre the same price
  3. so on my laptop when i start a game it runs perfectly smooth on my 144hz monitor. But the temp rises to about 85C max and at about 75C games start to lag even though im still above 144 fps. Do temps effect video smoothness?
  4. help my pc crashes when playing games and i get this msg
  5. my laptop has a 2 seperate audio ports 1 for mic and 1 for audio
  6. my headphones have a mic but my laptop has a mic port and a audio port how do i use mic and sound on headphones
  7. Also IDK if its the gpu cuz like games dont crash my PC crashes.
  8. I went to bed last time and didnt have time. I will today. My laptop comes with this disk that is like a little hub and has the drivers.. Should I install those? Or the most recent off the nvidia website (the nvidia driver is like 368 or something so its kinda old) and i dont know what the intel ones are. Should I get the that arent for notebooks and just for pc's so maybe it cant use nvidia optimus?
  9. gpu-z seems to think that im using intergrated graphics, i have it set to run with the 1060
  10. OK i will thanks for your help -- I just know that when overwatch is using 512 gb it lags and then eventually crashes and i know that fortnite is crashing instantly as it opens but this could be something else.
  11. how the hell does this help sorry your pc is buns i dont know.
  12. So i had a issue where games would crash cuz my cpu didnt power gpu or something no idea (cpu was "oc'd" i disabled it) and my gpu doesnt stop working anymore but im getting this thing where my vram isnt exceeding 512gb (1/2 gig). When i get game crashes its at 512/
  13. i really dont see the point, i manage to squeeze 180+ fps out of my 1060 6gb and 2.5ghz i7 6700k laptop on all games
  14. if rgb is everything get this https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823816083&ignorebbr=1&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-PC&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-PC-_-pla-_-Gaming+Keyboard-_-N82E16823816083&gclid=CjwKCAjwlcXXBRBhEiwApfHGTSLZ12MNyMjJYWpziH-pDWNWsJ7bFHcI33xMBzk8jcdenzG7EeteHxoCsi8QAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds, and if mechanical is everything to you get some redragon keyboard for like 30$. I would get the corsair, its great build quality and i feel personally the hype around mechanical is over exaggerated
  15. It depends. If you want a all around good keyboard then get the logitech g810, if you have infinite money, get the claymore if you want, though i dont think it has a wrist rest and its weird shape at the bottom means you cant use one from somewhere else. If i had infinite money i would probably just get the k95. If you want a all around good one, again, get the 810, and if you are on a budget get some redragon one for like 25 dollars.
  16. Ah well. I still dont trust myself, and i'd rather have it work for another 6 months and then fix it then use my warranty now.
  17. i got it from amazon and it comes with a 2 year warranty from gigabyte. Im definitely not going to open it by myself. Thanks for your help though if it turns out gigabyte go into bankruptcy or something ill definetly take your advice
  18. im actually going for 148 fps, i oc'd a 144hz monitor by 4 fps.
  19. Hey. I had a problem with my laptop where it was crashing and i realize my CPU was on 100% and it made it go to its max, 3.5GHZ. However, it was unplayable obviously because it made me crash. The base speed of the laptop is 2.6ghz, and in power management i was able to go to 2.5ghz, and if i go more than 98% it shoots up to like 3.2. So is 2.5ghz good enough? the laptop has a 1060, 16gb ram. The specific model is gigabyte p55wv6, and the processor has 4 cores (advertised as 8 cores) and 8 threads or something like that
