  1. Dear LTT Community, The Coolant in my GTX 1080 Waterblock is leaking through the inside divider (see picture). It doesn't seem to be affecting performance now (I'm running at 40° at full load) but I am extremely worried about it. Better safe than sorry. Thank you, lahren1
  2. He has tried both the front panel and the back of the computer. We just installed these drivers: https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-Z170X-Gaming-7-rev-10#support-dl
  3. Dear LTT community, Sorry for spamming the forums recently, but this one is for a friend. So my friend's audio only plays when he hits "test" audio or when a windows related process is done (e.x. installing stuff). So far I have checked other forums but the best answer I can find is from 2008 for windows XP (he has windows 10). I still need to install new mobo drivers for him (no sound card). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! edit His mobo is a Gigabyte Gaming 7
  4. Dear LTT Comunity, I am planning on building a PETG (I haven't bought the tubing so other hardline types are still an option) loop with red (opaque) coolant in it. All my parts are fully copper/brass. It seems there is a lot of controversy about PETG safe coolant and coolant gunking. Unfortunately, most of the threads about it are nearly two years old. Is there any definitive answer on which coolant types work with PETG? Do the marbleized looking fluids work? Opaque? If you have any recommendations on coolant brands please let me know. Thanks for your time and help!
  5. Thanks, everyone! I bought 8 XSPC Compression fittings and 4 90° Fittings.
  6. I have a 1080 at 4k and ultra settings and I get a solid 60...
  7. I'm planning on buying the XSPC Easy Cut/Bend Tool Kit. I also have a hairdryer. Picture of my current setup coming momentarily.
  8. I am not planning on straight runs. It's just that 90° fittings alone are almost as much as a normal compression fitting, not to mention that I need to screw a compression fitting on to it additionally (ex Bitspower).
  9. Dear LTT Community, I am planning on building a hardline water cooling loop and the only part I haven't chosen yet are my hardline compression fittings (and tubing). My current build is in a Phanteks Evolv ATX Glass Edition and features a dremeled on verticle GPU. Other than that it is a normal set up. My current loop plan will require a lot of 90° turns on account of the GPU. If on a budget is it worth using 90° fittings or would it be better to just bend the tubing? If it's best to buy fittings could you recommend an affordable brand? Thank you, lahren1
  10. Hello! I'm new to water-cooling and am looking to build my first loop. Since I am super cheap I am trying to buy parts for as cheap as possible. Because of this, I don't want to buy the "standard" EK Pump/Reservoir that matches the rest of my copper stuff. Instead, I found an XSPC X4 Photon 270mm Reservoir/Pump (aluminum I think). My problem is that I have a copper water-block and radiator. Will the aluminum pump/reservoir hurt my loop? If I use an anti-corrosive fluid will it be ok? Thanks for the help! lahren1
