  1. RAM arrived faster and I tried to install it and see if it is alright. It works manually overclocked at 2800Mhz CL16 and 1.35V first try. This is enough for me so there is no reason to try going higher with the frequency. Stock BIOS, B350 Tomahawk, R3 1200 OC'd to 3.9ghz. Sticks used are CMK8GX4M2C3000C16 and CMK8GX4M2C3000C15, 2x4 + 2x4. Updated the thread because it might help someone.
  2. Would a bios update solve the issue? I wanna buy a 3300X/1600AF later this month together with a new 8gb kit of ram, so that would be necessary. And if not, can I be sure that buying the same ram kit would be alright XMP/manual OC with all slots populated?
  3. Hey guys! So I want to put 8gb of ram in plus in my system, but I might have a problem. Right now I have 2x4gb Corsair Vengeance 3000Mhz CL15 on a B350 Tomahawk board. I found some cheap 2x4gb HyperX Fury 3000Mhz CL15 and I was wondering if XMP would still work fine since they have pretty much the same specs. Even manual overclocking isn't an issue, I just wanna make sure that they work at 3000Mhz. Sorry in advance if the topic has already been answered, a link to that topic would be awesome if one already exists. Cheers!
  4. I live in Romania too, and here the prices are a little bit.. Spicy.
  5. I do not have that much money to spend. This PC is still totaly capable. I want to add a graphics card powerful enough to put it in the next PC I build for them. That is all. No major costful upgrade needed. I already spent 95% of my money on my actual PC. I don't think the bottleneck will be that big. It is somewhere at a Pentium E8400 level, so it is still ok. Thanks for your reply. I will wait other answers too.
  6. As I said, it IS an OEM HP system, PSU is custom made for the case.
  7. A 750 Ti will definetely crap on the PSU. That isn't a viable option.
  8. Hi guys. So my dad just started asking me about one game or another that he definetely wants to play. So I decided to upgrade the family PC. It is an "oldish" HP Compaq 6005 PRO SFF with an Athlon II X2 250, 4gb of ddr3 memory in dual channel configuration, HD 4200 integrated graphics and a 240w rated power supply. My question is, can I stick a GT 1030 in there? It is the perfect option since it offers such a good value and is also low profile. It says that a 300w PSU is recommended for this card, but by system isn't consuming more than 120-140w of power. Will i have issues or am I good to go? What other options do I have to keep it around the same budget or lower? Thanks.
  9. @brob Just found out that the CWT CX450M, S12II-430w and the Eco 430w are very similarly priced. So what should I go for? I am thinking of the CX450M.
  10. @brob, Found a S12II-430w from Seasonic at 55 USD. Any better? Edit: Also found an Eco 430w from Seasonic.
  11. I just found a really good deal on a CX450 Grey Lable ( 50-ish USD ). GreatWall OEM Platform. Is it any good?
  12. I know, the only problem is I live in Romania. This makes matters much worse :))
  13. Okay. I will check the market shortly and come with an answer.
