  1. Generally speaking, the components that need fans have them. Stuff like VRM's, m.2, and Ram are cooled perfectly fine by their heat sinks passively. With a large enough sink for a CPU you could even get away with it depending on what you were doing. I think we will see more passive tech being sold in the coming years as companies have already started playing around with the idea. Noctua even had a passive cooler concept on display at Computex that cooled a 9900k running a stress test without throttling.
  2. I have a p3 on air and get better temps than when I had an airflow optimized case. Running NH-U14S with one fan and that's it. Graphics card is air as well. I honestly may never go back to a regular case unless my desk situation requires more protection. It's a breeze to make adjustments.
  3. I believe OptimumTech showed an ITX board from Gigabyte as well. He said it was kind of hidden at their booth. Here's the links: Actually I found an Asus one too so that makes three x570 ITX boards so far: EDIT: I think technically the Asus one is an ITX-D or something? Never heard of it but it's slightly larger so won't fit in SFF cases but will fit most ITX apparently?
  4. Morning all, I am floating the idea of a SFF build with an external cooling solution and I was wondering what issues I should be on the lookout for. I have been all over the place planning my next build, waffling between sff or a standard atx watercooling build. And no matter what I just cant find a combination that I'm happy with from a size/radiator compatibility/cooling standpoint. Then last night I happened to be messing around with the M1 I have laying around that I haven't used in two years and noticed the two tube grommets it has in the back. The rest is history and now I'm planning everything out. The build: Aorus X570 ITX MOBO Ryzen 9 RTX2080 TI It's my understanding that the M1 can actually accommodate a full size ATX power supply, but if not I have a sfx600 as a backup. Can anyone recommend any parts for the build? So far I'm leaning towards the MO-RA3 radiator with 4 200mm Noctua fans running at low speed. Pump recommendations? Reservoir recommendations? I'm also open to alternative case recommendations. I figure the smallest atx case I can find might do the trick and allow for more overclocking headroom with a full size mobo. Thanks in advance!
  5. I Just moved my system out of a view 71 because it was too big. I believe The HDD caddys that sit within the middle are somewhat modular on rails so you can move them up and down. So you could probably fit 2-4 in the main area and i think there are 2-3 mounting brackets on the back as well. With these two radiators I think it's possible you could fit somewhere between 3-6 3.5" drives. The 71 is nearly 100 Liters!
  6. This is great to keep in mind. I had a 1080ti with a Threadripper all on air cooling in a Meshify C and it was some of the best cooling I've had, especially in a case so small.
  7. Another note from GN video is that Cooler Master told him their 200mm Radiator will be coming out this year and it apparently fits in this case. Still think they flubbed the GPU restriction here but could make a killer streaming box or htpc.
  8. Gamers Nexus said they think the GPU installed on the show floor was 165-170mm and OptimumTech said there might be 210mm to work with. Running a parametric on PCPP shows RTX2070 cards and below that meet the 210mm requirement. It's a great looking case but I have to say I am a little disappointed. With so many SFF cases being able to work in full size cards these days it seems a little tone deaf to release an itx with this limit...especially one so seemingly large. Also important note that in GamersNexus video the Cooler Master rep told them that the H in H100 does not stand for high air flow. Steve said it looked like the 200mm fan had plenty of room to breathe but I'm curious why they would throw that caveat out....maybe still some ptsd from GN reviews of the H500P.
  9. Thanks for all the replies guys. I’ve got some research to do.
  10. Hey everyone, so I’m in the middle of planning my next build and im going to give a custom loop a shot. I really like the look of the UV liquids I’ve seen online but I also know that certain fluids run into issues with clogging. Im wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a brand of uv activated coolant that won’t wreak havoc on things. Also, just generally, when a liquid with like a pearl aesthetic does clog a system, how long does something like that tend to build up? If I went with that type of liquid, would I need to check things every 3 months? 6? Thanks for your help!

    Best Case

Evolv X has identical interior layout to P600s and has a better aesthetic in my opinion. But hey it’s all up to you.
  12. Could it be modded? Looks potentially like a modded Thermaltake Core P1
  13. Those fittings are sick. Any idea if they make them with UV light? Can you provide a link to where you got them please?
  14. Sorry I should have been more specific about my setup. R7 1800x Watercooled Aorus 1080TI XTREME in OC mode 16gb Vengeance in 2666 (I think) All three monitors are hooked up via displayport All three montiors have been set to 144hz (not running in surround) Something tells me that it isn't about the load. Watching netflix on one screen. with a browser open in the other, and system info on the third shows my card @44C and 0% load. I also thought it might be about the cables but then I remembered one of the cables came with the monitor and seems pretty good quality and the other two run off amazon basics displayport cables and all three monitors exhibit the same behavior and more importantly at the same time. So for instance, If I'm gaming the game will quickly stutter at the same moment the netflix or youtube video does. Temps seems fine. But again this happens even one just one thing is open and netflix is playing so it doesn't seem to be a load issue.
  15. Hey there, I have been running a dual monitor setup with two 1440p 144hz monitors for a while now and my third just came in yesterday. After setting it up I'm noticing what seem like frame drops or an intermittent stuttering. It is subtle so I'm guessing it happens once every two seconds. I notice this happens with streaming video from youtube and netflix and also while gaming. Anyone have any experience with this? I just checked Nvidia experience and I seem to have the latest drivers. This seems to happen on all monitors by the way.
