  1. I think the Google Pixel 8 pro would be good. Nice security features and hardware, flat screen (easier to protect and use screen protector). Battery life should be interesting, especially with the LTPO 1-120 hrtz screen. 27w in "fast" charging (but mostly a 15w). Photo and video will be great and capacity to remove unwanted audio sound from your video easily (still to explore). So you can hear your kid laugh and not your neighbour yelling.
  2. thank you. I will look for these 2 board in store. Consumption wise, stock the ryzen 1700x show 173watts under 100% according to bittech - https://bit-tech.net/reviews/tech/amd-ryzen-7-1700x-review/6/ - will gamer nexus showed spike at 193w for the 5900x, otherwise stock runs max at 142watts. I think my ryzen is way worst finally hahaha. Still, I think you are right and that board I haha is not really good... probably I fucked it up also playing around while not knowing what I do.
  3. Well... from what I was able to get online, a 1700x suck pretty much the smae amount of power then a 5900x ... it really consume a lot. Do you have one to suggest, sub 200$ cad? I wanted to upgrade on the cheap since I can get the 5900x at 500$ cad.
  4. Thank you, it wasn't there last time I check... 2 weeks ago. For real? I had no idea this mobo was this bad, and no idea how to see that..., but that could explain why my average is about 10 % lower then similar setup. COD Warzone is in 1080pwith RSR, medium/high and barely have a steady 90 fps. Have a 1700x stock, 6700xt and 32 gig ram at 2333
  5. Hello everyone! I am looking to the the upgrade from my 1700x to 5900x on my MB, Asus x370-a prime, but I don't know if the CPU is actually compatible. the Agesa is 1206b (supporting the 5800x3D, both no sign of even older 5600x or 5900x. Does anyone have tried it with asus mobo and what was the result? Is there a chance I'm going to am to buy a new b550 or x570 to replace? Thank!
  6. I don't know own to see the jonction temp, but MSI afterburner show me 2 temps... just about 4-5c difference between them (see photo). Just runned 2 hours of destiny, seemed to be very fluid today but for some reason, I didn't had the FPS count in either steam overlay of msi afterburner. I actually don't know why my GPU is only at 8x. I it says on the ? that this happen for some card when they don't need full load, they reduce the number of PCI-E to reduce power consumption. But even Destiny2 didn't bring it to 16x... so I will nee to investigate more on why this is happening. I never used DDU since I swapped from AMD to AMD (just a very old one to new one).
  7. I realise tonight (don't know if this will change a lot) that the fan were not utilise at all. the temp idle was settling at 51c which is hot I guess. Even under full load, it was quiet like I never heard before (until it reach 90c when it started to run fast). I installed MSI afterburner and now the fan have a curve and it idle at 37c (I have a bad case air flow problem). Fan are at 30% speed and still quiet, but I hear them. Maybe there was a temperature issue and the card was not getting cooled in any ways.
  8. Hi failman! Thank you for your answer. For the CPU part, I didn't check (will do tomorrow) for usage, but the temp never really go over 65c. The sustain frequency is 3.5ghz in game (stock speed). I tought I wouldn't need to upgrade my CPU since 1440p is GPU intensive, and I still have a good CPU...i think. It is running in dual channel and I manually put the company spec in the bios, otherwise it was running 20-20-20-40 at 2133. it is right now at 16-18-18-36 at 2666mhz. The GPU-Z is is that.
  9. Hi everyone. I got my hand on a RX6700xt but the card is not really.... up with what people seems to be able to get in FPS. I am not sure what is going on. I play Destiny 2 on high setting (not highest) and removed blur, shadow to minimum, fxaa, 4x anysotropic and barely go over 70 fps in1440p. Some place, I fall at 45 fps and yesterday, I played a game of capture the zone and not even sure I was having 30 fps (seems laggy like hell). Restart the computer, close all and seems to be better, but not that much. I am not sure what is going on, if the card is defect or what. My CPU is barely at 30%. Just did also a small test coming out of sleep and it was showing core speed at zero. Max setting in CS:GO about 120 fps. My setup: ryzen 1700x 32gb corsair at 2666 (i did a test today and found out my latency is a crazy 90 ns). MSI Duel rx 6700 xt (not OC). corsair 500w psu (i know, they say 650, but real world, I have about 350-400 watts consumption). Thank you all for your help, I am really diseappointed going from a r9 380 to that card, not that much of an improvement.
  10. I am not able to find out how to turn off windows auto-wakeup. Every single day, at 8h17 the computer get out of sleep. I've check everything and find out it is a process in windows to "force wakeup" for update. And i tried everything i can, microsoft hs hard lock this process and i can't turn it off. somebody help please. it is anoying has sh*t. windows 10 pro
  11. i tried that before and since i can,t predict the stutter, it's hard to know when it is going to happen, and often i am browsing internet at the same time. And cpu goes at it's lowest at base clock speed... so about 2.3ghz. it's kind of a weird bug to be honest.
  12. Hi! i will ask here since windows didn't seems to be a∫le to get an answer other then "you might have to do a clean install and if it happens again, we can see for something else".... -_- My problem is that when my computer comes out of sleep for the first time after a fresh restart, i have some stutter using my computer. About 2-3 frames stop, sometimes more, every few minutes. It is quite annoying and is happening for some times now, but i can't waste a day reinstalling everything since i am working every day for the past few months (not really joking). BUT when i am gaming at night to relaxe, there is no more stutter. And when i finish, is start again to stutter. I suspect it might be a windows drivers somewhere that don't process information properly when it comes out of sleep. But has much as looking down the dll files, drivers processing at the moment.... i am a little out. My computer is as follow, everything is up to date.: amd ryzen 1700x stock speed with AIO cooler asus x370-a prime 32gig ram corsair (2x16) at 18-18-18-35 @2400 amd gigabyte r9 380x gaming oc edition OS on ssd. Sandisk ultra ssd 512gb PSU corsari gold 500w (i change a few weeks ago but wa running issues with my "dead" xfx psu 750w gold)
  13. Yeah, it's the CPU connector, written on it, that is plugged inside. and even with the 8 pin, it was stopping to work. I put a corsair cx500w and put everything has before and no problem anymore. i checked the event log on windows and this is was happears. it says that computer stop it wasnt receiving electricity properly.
  14. yes, back a few months ago i was able to get the cpu to 3.7 on... apparently... 6 pin cpu instead of 8. but i know i was abl, when i first got it, to push to 4.1 ghz (or 4.085... stupide multiplier not getting perfect number). But since yesterday, i have hard shutdown, randomly, on the computer. I had a xfx xrt750w gold to power this computer and,i think the strain put on the cpu and psu to deliver the electricity might have damage it since i tried to put it back to 8 pin but still wasnt able to achieve stability. playing civ 6 and the computer shut down after 20 minutes. i put a new psu inside and i was able to complete a run with a crash. I am not as tech savy has i though i was to be honest.
  15. I am using adobe suite, davinci resolve 15, and other GPU hungry program. and has of computer spec, this is what i got. Ryzen 1700x with watercool AIO, 32 gig corsair 2666 (2x16), psu xfx xrt750w (that i just find out was getting bad since it was not getting enought power to the cpu and thus getting me hard shut down since yesterday). ssd and hdd for workflow and storage
