  1. To cache i m gonna need a ssd anyway xd ,so ye already having a ssd
  2. they dont happen too often , but sometimes its my stupid dog plugging out the cable or power sho
  3. Thanks again , one last question , do u lose the data on cache if your pc crashes? Becoz then the next boot will be again slow as of normal hdd ,as no cache?
  4. Ahh that comment was really helpful , but in my case i got a 250gb , will it hurt it to partition into a 60gb for cache and remaining for storage? Also do u lose the data on cache if your pc crashes? Becoz then the next boot will be again slow as of normal hdd ,as no cache?
  5. so what would u recommend using like whole 250gb as cache? wont that be overkill? Also , do u still use primocache? Also is it true , that when the PC crashes u lose all the cache? In that case I will probably still install the os and the drivers in the ssd ,like the 50-60gb ~ remaining after caching the remaining 170~ gb
  6. because i want fast boot for my games as well , not just os
  7. but it iwll atleast last 3 years right? Thats more than enough for me , or wont it last that long?
  8. Ye i m aware of it loading the commonly used apps fast, but thats what i am mostly looking for , faster boot of windows and few games that i mostly play . For things that i dont use much but need speed , i will put in the standard free part of the ssd. What do ya say?
  9. Ah i see , but i dont use most of my 1tb like most of the times its just 50-60% full at max , so probably 120gb ~ of cache should be enough? Also where should i put my OS? after caching i mean , in the free ssd partition or the cached hdd?
  10. So pretty much what my title says , planning on partitioning my 240gb ssd , to a 60gb cache using primocache and remaining for storage. Sounds good? Also ,can it harm my SSD life?
  11. So I am also planning on using my 240gb ssd as cache for my 1tb hdd, but i m planning on making a partition of 60gb for cache and remaining for using as a regular ssd partition. Now the main question should i store my Os in the new hdd+sdd tiered drive? Or should i install it on the remaining ssd partition?
  12. Yes , I have. and as i said i can get full speed as rated but not with the xmp settings
  13. I am using Trident Z F4-3000C16D-16GTZR which has tested timings of 16-18-18-38 at 1.35v.But , on my Strix B350 F board , I cannot get it past 2400mhz without changing things like timings or Voltage.I am able to set 2933mhz on myram.. but I have set timings to 18-18-18-38 at 1.35v and I can get a stable 2933mhz..Or , else I can keep the default timings but I have to get Dram voltage to like 1.38vSo which one is safer? 1.38v dram with 16-18-18-38 timings default OR1.35v with 18-18-18-38 timings
  14. The Timings are 16-18-18-38. and ya , 1.37v fails sometimes for me too. Something else I just tried tho , increase the timings from 16-18-18-38 to 18-18-18-38 , now even at 1.35v I am at 3000mhz , and just ran an hour of aida64 . Seems good.. Need to see how the boot goes tho.
