If you know a better laptop with a 15 inch screen, that costs $500 or less, let me know.
  2. I have tried pretty much all of this except unplugging while in bios, so Ill give that a shot. Yeah, I feel that that is most likely it, but I just want to see if there's a solution. I probably won't get a new battery, since ill have enough money to get a pretty good hp omen in a couple months.
  3. So I currently own a cheap acer laptop, primarily used for schoolwork, and while I am saving up to get a new, much better laptop, I ran into an issue with my laptop recently. Out of nowhere, my laptop's battery stopped working. My computer has not given me any error messages, the battery icon just says " plugged in, not charging". This has posed an issue, as in order to use my laptop, I have to keep it plugged in constantly, and when unplugged, it completely shuts down. I have tried quite a few different solutions, but not a single one has worked. Some of this is centered around the fact that the battery is not removed easily, and when i have attempted to take apart my laptop, i wasn't even able to pry it open. If anyone knows a way for me to fix this problem until I can get a new laptop in a couple of months that would be great. Here are all the details about my laptop: Laptop Model: Acer ES1-511 Operating System: Windows 10 Home Version 1703 OS Build 15063.413 Processor: Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU N2930 @ 1.83 GHz Ram: 4GB 64 bit operating system The main apps I use are google chrome, microsoft word programs and netflix. I also occasionally run photoshop and twitch if that helps at all. I would really appreciate any help getting this fixed, and if any other info is needed I can provide it.
