Hello
This is my first time here and i have a very important (and aggrivating) issue.
I have recently bought the EditorsKeys SL300 Microphone... However when attempting to install it to my ASUS ROG G75VW-BBK5 laptop it does NOT and i repeat NOT want to coperate. The laptop runs Windows 8 and according to the help center thread here (http://editorskeys.freshdesk.com/support/solutions/articles/68584-are-your-products-compatible-with-windows-8-) The microphone is totally compatable to windows 8. I have tried it on every USB port and i always get a Error Code: 10 every time (once a Error Code: 45 but this went away quickly)... but the strange part is gets different results almost every time i plug it in. All my USB ports are 3.0
I Get:
-This device cannot start. (Code 10) The I/O request was canceled.
-This device cannot start. (Code 10) {Operation Failed} The requested operation was unsuccessful.
-This device cannot start (Code 10)
{Operation Failed}
The requested operation was unsuccessful.
The strange thing is that when i plug it in at first it shows that it is okay, then a error at the VERY end. it acts like it installs right but at the end something fouls.
Does anyone have a clue as to what i can do?
I have attempted the following:
-Restarted a few million times
-Deleted the installed drivers then reinstalled
-Got rid of the drivers, unplugged the microphone, then uninstalled the USB Root Hub drivers, then checked for new hardware
-Attempted to update drivers with "USB Audio Device" Drivers
Here is what appears on the driver menu for the malfunctioned/defective driver
-USB Audio Device (Common)
-Kditors (Rare)
-EditorKeys SL300 (Only happend twice on driver menu, Extremely Rare)
The other 3 have installed just fine, but the last one that controls if windows will detect the device is not present. Thus the device will not appear on the "Recording" Tab.
I have tried this on my old laptop (A dell inspiron) with USB 2.0 and Windows 7 Home Premium. The microphone worked on that computer.
Does anyone know what i can do? I tried ASIO4ALL like they recommend and it didnt work.
Does anyone know what to do?
