7950 at 1100Mhz on the core performs like a 7970 Ghz Edition. If this the case, maybe a 7950 @ 1200Mhz performs like a 7970 at 1100Mhz. It's currently the most bang per buck on the market right now.

Maybe get a 7950, the 3GB VRAM is really going to help you. If you're going to SLI or Crossfire later, you might want a little more juice for your PSU. Get 8GB of RAM. Go for s H100i or equivalent. You don't need a Blu'Ray drive to just install your OS, infact, you can "pirate" Windows 7 or 8 and put it on a USB and install from there. You can go for 1 monitor then buy another one later. You can go for a cheaper case. Mouse?

I have been researching, and looking at cards like the TF3 7950 and XFX 7950 and it seems like that the screws for the cooler are in the same place and that the PCB for the Sapphire 7950 I have listed just has a different coloured PCB.

The 7950 950 Mhz Edition had the reference PCB.
