They are a media/tech company, not a law firm. Why does it matter what an employee wears if they are getting their work done?

IMO, if someone isn't talking in-person to corporate big-wigs in official settings, if they get their work done, they can wear what/look how they want.

Also, who are you to judge? It ain't your company.

I would like to see a video that compares CPU's from the last 10 years.
Both in terms of gaming and productivity.

Like how does the I7 6700K compare to the 7700K, 8700K, 9900K, 10900K and so on.
And the same for AMD processors.

I have fixed the problem, see, with the case im using, there arent any drive trays, so i was forced to put them in their as best i could. And in my infinite stupidity, one of my hard drives were titled, that hard drive has my OS on it as I haven't migrated it to the SSD yet. I straightened out the drive by putting card board under it to keep it level. Thank you!

If you still want to use this mode, you can set it for individual games that you play in the Control Panel by going to the "Program Settings" tab and adding your games to the list.

I find that it can make a pretty big difference in some games, so this is how I do it.

    Fixed it!

In the Nvidia control panel I had the power mode set to 'prefer maximum performance'.
Tried changing the setting and applying, but nothing happened.
Turns out you have to reboot your system before it takes effect.

MiniMike DK reacted to 5x5 in Dear LTT, please stop hating Apple
Let me mention some awesome things about apple.

    Failing butterfly keyboards,
    Torn display flex cables,
    Exploding TB3 controllers,
    Dysfunctional fuzes
Sending 50v to the CPU when in a humid room,
Running at 100*C cause cooling is hard,
Asking 2000$ for an SSD upgrade,
Encrypting soldered SSDs and removing lifeboat connector so as to make data recovery impossible,
"Fixing" a desoldered chip by putting a piece of rubber on it.
Making iMAc Power Suuply that can kill you when cl among it (no shielding)
Making a bendable phone before it was cool (6s)
Making a bendable tablet before it was cool (iPad from a year or two ago)
Quoting ridiculous prices to fix working electronics that only need a bit of cleaning.

Stop rabbiting about Apple, use your brain and see that the trillion dollar company deserves to be called out.

MiniMike DK reacted to WereCatf in Do you shut down your PC each night?
I don't see the point in leaving my PC on, since it takes just a few seconds for it to boot to Windows. I do, however, see a point in turning it off: it consumes power and power ain't free where I live!

As for it being bad for a PC to shutting down and turning back on: no, it's bullshit. For a mechanical HDD it is technically harmful, but not any other components in an average, modern PC, and even HDDs can take thousands or tens of thousands of such cycles nowadays.

MiniMike DK reacted to minibois in Color resolution
It's called color banding and not due to your monitor, but rather due to the compression used in the video rendering (or more likely what has been done by YouTube).
This is often caused by having 8 bit level of colors in a video.

MiniMike DK reacted to W-L in CPU or GPU first in a cusotm loop?
Order in a loop make no difference in real world performance, the only thing you have to be concerned about is to keep the reservoir before the pump to ensure it has a steady flow of water and doesn't run dry. This is due to the rate at which the fluid moved around the loop making little to no difference in where you place them.
