    Yes, that is screen burn in I'm afraid, there are some apps that colour correct the whole screen to try and reduce it, but the only way to actually 100% fix it, is to buy a new screen Don't leave a static image on an AMOLED screen for all that long, they get burn in pretty easily. ,

    You can't directly do this through the virtual machine but you could use remote scripting to remotely run scripts on the guest OS.  Take for example you run a powershell script on your host machine that executes a program on the virtual machine.  
     
    This will require the use of IP addresses however.  That's about as much as i know how to do.  If you want to write your own hypervisor and virtual machine manager then maybe you could.

    There are cases out there that have neither...
     
    The Fractal Design Define XL R2 for example only has one LED, so you have to chose if you want it for HDD or Power.
     
    The In Win the living room machine is in, it has both LED but no reset switch.
